one reason why TGP's are also good for the industry!
Ok here it goes. Everyone says they hurt the industry giving away free stuff etc. I agree. But well, there is one good thing I could think of.
When a surfer realizes that he could make money with porn, he will most certainly be submitting thumbnail galleries with free hosting ,free content etc. Or he may set up his own TGP with 300 visitors. As all of us probably know, making sales with TGP's and galleries is very difficult. So if a newbie can make it with TGP's, he has pretty much proved that he has good marketing skills. If he makes enough money with TGP'ing, he can get his own server, content and move on to more complicated stuff than submitting galleries. (Spacefrog?) As for veterans, it could be very productive to sharpen your marketing skills every once in a while because you need 100k hits to make a couple of sales. |

What's he mean by needing 100K hits to make a couple of sales? I made sales from galleries with less than 2K..

I think?and therefore I could be wrong, but I think that he?s saying that if a newbie is successful at making and TGP?s and making $$$ doing it, then they?re doing it with both a good web layout and eye catching ad copy? Therefore, if someone who has been doing it longer isn?t as successful, then this would be an indication to either re-do the site layout or work a bit hard on the ?sell? to the customer?
Was I somewhat close on that assumption Williams? |

Well it's so much easier to make a paysite that converts well (from hits to trial signups) than to design a gallery page that owns the other gallery pages. What I mean is that if there were no TGP's, there would be a mess of ugly free sites, AVS sites and even pay sites and most of them would have been created by newbies.
But because we have TGP's a newbie will either get good skills in page design and marketing or leave the business because he couldnt make any money. |
