Until it becomes available .... there is NOTHING you can do about it ...maybe make the registered owner an offer on it ?!?
If I own a domain, and I decide to park it for 10 years, that is my perogative --------------- The Black Sheep of the Boneprone Family I like to rub HERTURN on my nipples. on my nipples. |

I just finally got one that "expired" 4 months ago. It was marked as on hold the whole time. If the registar isn't in a hurry you could wait awhile. Just check every frickin' time your on the net.

and have been told that they will stay in my name for the next 40 days and if i decide to renew them before that time I can keep them and if not on the 41st day they go into the pool again |

Is it an expired name? If it isn't then you have no chance of getting it until the owner gives it up. If the name has already expired check out this article for some insight to register an expired name. It also depends on the registrar as well. I know directnic releases expired names after 40 days. Network solutions suck big time releasing their expired domains. I had one that I never renewed from them and was on hold for well over a year before it became available to register again.

And if the domain you are waiting for is with (Network Solutions) Verisign then you will wait even longer. They are well known for holding names.
Good luck, Terry |
