What Is The Point:
Before I quit the business and began anew, among other sites, I operated a TGP for about a year. I touched upon trading traffic for a short period of time. I did not seem to get an influx of traffic or an increase in sales so I dropped it. I never did like the use of a blind link in the first place.
Upon reflection it seems to me that trading traffic is circular and the same traffic is being pushed from one trading partner to the next. This may drive up your hit counters, but what is the point of pushing the same traffic around? Is the point much like a CJ site; piss off the surfer from being misled by blind links so that he will signup for a paysite? Maybe some of you will take the time to educate me about the benefits of trading traffic, and also the downside of trading traffic. Thanks ------------------ XXXGalore-Megasite.Net Adult Surfer Forum |

The more traffic you have circulating, the more you have going to your sponsors. Most of your traffic will be sent back out through trades, this is how traffic grows, or stabilizes. Within this circle, a good number will end up clicking on a sponsor advertisement instead. A simple example: I have a sponsor link right up at the top of my site. It might say something like "Visit this site for hot amateur girls" A lot of traffic will click on it and go to my sponsor. Many dont. Those who dont, whether it be because they know that link goes to a paysite, or they dont want to see amateur girls, end up further down my site. This is where my galleries and other sponsors are. The surfer gets a few galleries, maybe clicks through on another sponsor, or is sent on his way through a trade link. (both real and blind is the best combination IMO) Hopefully that trade will bring in a surfer who does click on my sponsor. Multiply this times 50 thousand, and it adds up. |

I think the Internet sex business is unique in that businesses that are supposedly in competition cooperate with each other and send each other traffic. I wonder if this could eventually run afoul of antitrust laws designed to promote competition (which implies thwarting cooperation)?

unseenworld; this is seen in many instances in real mainstream business... one case in point, Las Vegas.... The casinos link to each other with the crosswalks and whatnot, they will swap traffic as if it were adult traffic, someoen doesnt like your casino, let them go to the next, and keep walkin until they like something, and the casino you sent your uninterested person to, perhaps he will have an uninterested person in his casino that will like yours better =-)

CJ Traffic is crap. You think by pissing the surfer off he's going to use his credit card on your site? Not likely.. That's why these UCJ sites and CJ sites have to resort to using dialers making them look like free movies and TheHun gets paid thousands of dollars monthly to have banners and galleries put on his site...

Check out the Soviet board at adultwebmasterinfo.com They have the whole deal on traffic trading.
As far as beating the surfer, I just let the thugcash guys do it for me...they take a reasonable percentage ![]() |

Some of these popup sites are tantamount with going to a mall and being grabbed by the arm and pulled into each store.. "Look at what we have!".. And dialers will probably be a thing of the past soon with all of the manipulating going on now.. As far as linking partners goes, they trade links with partners who may have something different to offer. Again, like going to the mall, but not being grabbed by the arm. If you don't like one store's offering, there are other stores right there to visit if you wish.

I like those analogies of traffic trading being like a mall or several linked casinos.
