WTF?? I'm sorry..XP sucks..
Can someone please explain to me how or where my DESKTOP icon thingy went?
Also...what's with all the bubbly/soft corners on everything? It looks like something for little kids. Also.. the START button now looks like something E-Machines created. Also... IE 6 sucks bigtime.. GRRR..fuckin microsoft. Where did I put my 98CD? |

Also...SYSTEM PROPERTIES used to contain in it's "Performance" tab a resources percentage(%) thingy.. What happened to that?
Anyone with any help? |

Ok..just figured out how to get my quick launch icons back.

Press CTRL ALT DELETE in XP and you'll get the Windows Task Manager up, use the tabs at the top to see performance.
When you say "Desktop icon thingy" do you mean the show desktop button? Click start -> Control Panel -> Appearance & Themes -> Taskbar and Start Menu, then check "Show QuickLaunch" and the desktop icon will appear next to the start. If you don't like the bubble theme then it can be changed to the Win 98 style layout. Just go to the display part of the control panel (or by right clicking on the desktop and selecting "Properties"). |

To get rid of the soft corners go to your desktop and right click on properties. Under Themes change it to Windows Classic and you'll get the old look.
