Can someone please explain to me how or where my DESKTOP icon thingy went?

Also...what's with all the bubbly/soft corners on everything? It looks like something for little kids.

Also.. the START button now looks like something E-Machines created.

Also... IE 6 sucks bigtime..

GRRR..fuckin microsoft. Where did I put my 98CD?
