Get her to the vet, once she's been checked over don't give her regular catfood, try the kitten version or a tin of tuna chunks in oil with a little bread chopped through it, once she's eating cut out the milk - replace it with water or the special cat milk you can buy.

Hope she gets better soon.

If its an older cat that's often a sign the cat is experiencing liver/kidney failure.

Feed your cat(s) some lemon grass from a Vegetarian store., even if you have to force feed it like pilling a cat.. If they're pissing in strange places it's a urinary tract infection... Keep them (it) on soft food for X's 5 days, and a low sugar (high salt) diet, this'll load up the bladder and make them piss, dehydrate, and eat.. Force feeding gatorade will work well for this... Sounds weird but it'll work... GOOD LUCK!!!

Sorry to hear that your cat's sick. If they don't eat it's usually serious. Hope the vet can figure it out and give her proper treatment.

vet said that she has fluid on her lungs (like i had found out on the internet), they have put her in on oxygen, and are going to do an x-ray. If the x-ray shows nothing, they will drain some of the fluid, if it is highly infectious or cancerous then we might have to put her down

I hope things go well for you. If the cat is older, though, I hate to say this, but it might be time to let go. My ex inlaws just had to put their pair of cats down, both were 16 and had just stopped eating and drinking and had wasted away.

I know it hurts to let go. I lost a 4 year old in January, and it broke my heart. *HUGS*

We took her to the vets and they examined her and suggested that we had x-rays and drain any fluid from the lungs. They did this and at about 3.45 we had a call to tell us that she had a very rare and serious infection, they knew immediately because the fluid coming out was bright yellow and went sticky after being out for a while. My mum said i had to make the decision because as explained before, she is pretty much my cat. I decided that keeping her alive only for her lungs to refill with fluid was unfair, plus she wasnt really herself. I was there throughout her being put down, although i had to leave after she had gone because i was too upset.

Thanks for the support everyone

Evan

I know the feeling, hon, and I wish I could help make it easier, but I can't. Time helps heal, but let yourself grieve for her. You just lost a big part of your life. You have my sympathies and condolances.

I'm sorry to hear about your loved one

I had to put my dog down several months ago and to this day i swear i can still hear him walking in the house or heari him make the noises he made...very strange.

One day something happen when he tried to shit and every time he tried to shit it was painful not to mention his control was going and i woke up to a mess everywhere in the house. After about a month of feeding him this medication people who receive transplants took and saw it wasnt working i knew what had to be done

It was the first time i had cried in years...It'll get easier, and when you think back im sure a smile will always come to your mind! I still think about animals i had 10 or 15 years ago

My condolences, man. She's no longer suffering... just keep that in mind. I had to keep that in mind as well when I was faced with the same choice. I had a puppy who contracted PARVO. It wasn't pretty and it wasn't easy. But I'd rather have him put down than have him suffer excruciating pain.

Evan, I'm sorry you had to put her down. I know it's hard, but things will get better.
