They did this and at about 3.45 we had a call to tell us that she had a very rare and serious infection, they knew immediately because the fluid coming out was bright yellow and went sticky after being out for a while. My mum said i had to make the decision because as explained before, she is pretty much my cat. I decided that keeping her alive only for her lungs to refill with fluid was unfair, plus she wasnt really herself. I was there throughout her being put down, although i had to leave after she had gone because i was too upset.
