Sony Memory Stick Question
I have a Sony Cybershot and a Sony Vaio Desktop, which means I have a Memory Stick Port on my Vaio.
Question, the memory stick is in the port and I transfer images from my desktop to the Memory Stick, then take the Memory Stick and put it back in my Sony Cybershot Camera, but it read "no file" why? ANyone know what im doing wrong? I know the pics are on there because if i stick the memory stick into another PC the come up, just not on the camera? Yes the pictures i am trying to see were taken originally from the same camera. thanks ![]()

I've got a Cybershot, but have never experienced that. Is it possible the Sony Vaio marks the files for delete, similar to a quick erase, who's format is readable on a Sony camera, but not a non-Sony device?

take a few pics with the stick in the camera, then look at the file structure of where the pics are saved... copy the files over from the pc to the exact location and you should be able to view them.
Not sure if this works, but my sony t1 camera saves pics in a specific folder. Let me know if it helps |

All I know is that there are two files on the stick H:\DCIM\100MSDCF Maybe you need to be sure to load the pics in to 100MSDCF on your stick. Just a guess....

I think theres 2 different types of memory stick, so that might or might not have anything to do with it???
