while i don't support the spamming cocksuckers i did get this today which
i'm thinking of buying: http://123secureserver.com/dl1217_01...ter/index.html it's basically a digital cable filter for watching PPV, onDemand, Adult and sports channels. i always thought that cable companies register the movies you watch ondemand on their system somewhere, so im not sure how safe this thing is. still, if it worked it would be some massive free movies. if you tried it and it don't work, or it does post. luc l. |

Yes, in theory it should work. It's the same piece of equipment the cable companies use when you subscribe to premium services. However, as Bob Costas says on the little public service spots he's been doing cable theft is a crime and can be punishable by a 15k fine or up to 5 years in prison... and yes if you were caught it would be considered as cable theft...

and it seems a bit shady that the have their source code "encrypted" and are preventing people from copying the text. plus their "secure" order form isnt secure at all, so to me this is obviously a ploy to steal credit card info :/
....and any legitamate store would use correct whois info |

It wont work with charter systems I know. A friend of mine worked service for them for over 8 years, maintaining the headend, the system used to allow pay-per-view through onto a set top box is not even close to being filterable, it takes 2 way communication, not just a plug in filter, the box literally has to talk to the equipment at the other end and allow the stuff to pass to it, no filter in the world will get around that.
