I too donate primarily to children and animal charities. Probably because of their vulnerability..
humane society (local and nationwide)
best friends animal sanctuary
grey2k
world wildlife foundation
kids in distress
disabled american vets
breast cancer society
multiple sclerosis foundation

Just feels good to do my part in helping those that need the help.

Look into the charity you are giving to. Many end up wasting your money through 'administrative fees.' If you're unsure, go with large charities like the International Red Cross and United Way.
