problem with my mouse...

after x amount of minutes my mouse pointer speed starts to crawl. usually one quick jerk of my rish will send the cursor to the top or bottom of the screen. when it starts to act up it takes about 3-5 complete strokes to get to the top or bottom of the screen. unplugging the mouse from the back and rebooting the machine fixes the problem but only for so long. what is wrong? time for a new mouse?

Plug it into a USB2 port, prob solved.

I had similar probs when my wireless mouse was plugged into my standard USB hub. I run a lot of USB shit and USB1 cant handle the bandwidth I need sometimes.

if your mouse is PS2... well, I am sorry for you.
