not sure exactly what she was doing really havnt found out for sure
but what she was using her own bank accuont but all the bank accounts are tied together as my girl has had that account for the past 4 years .. she goti t when she was 16 and her mom had to co sign on it and we just never took her mom off

the bank froze all the accounts and has taken the money to recoupe what they lost
they have told us already the money is gone
nothing we can doa bout that
we gotta wait tell monday to " talk " about our loan as her parents are not longer going to be with the bank and they are the co signers and no longer have good standing credit with them
so we are hoping that sence we have paid on time every time for the past year and a half they wont pull our loan

JupZ.....if your payments on the loan are current they can't take your car.

Doesn't matter if the co-signer died, was thrown in a nigerian prison, or whatever.....as long as your payments are current then you're living up to your end of the contract and they have to live up to theirs.

If the bank tries to tell you different call your state attorney's office.

So make sure you make the payment and they cannot take the car. Unless you are already late on payments?

When you co-sign on a loan it is a contract between the lender, the inital borrower and the co signer. If the inital borrower cannot pay the debt then the co signer is called upon. Not the other way around.

that is what we are waiting on to find out
we are up to date on payments and havnt missed one
but they froze the accoutn and took all the money out we had for the bills
the money is not an issue - i can get the money to pay it all back
its just waiting for the bank to tell us what they are going to do

so i really cant say anything other than all i am doing is waitng to see what the bank is gonna say
