Fuck SBC! $62 bucks a month for my home phone which I hardly ever use. Signed up for Vonage and went to Best Buy for the phone adapter. Cost me 60 bucks and I get a 60 buck rebate. My total bill for Vonage with tax will be $16 and change. That means I save over $500/yr. Next I am putting the business on Vonage once I check this out. Anyone who is thinking about trying it out hit me up at kashking (at) booty411 (dot) com and we will both get free months.

HELLZ YEAH. We use a Vonage system for our office for direct calls to and from clients in the US. Good stuff!

YARGH! lingo is not as far features wise but they are a wee bit cheaper. I use both. Lingo sounds just as good but don't be offerin' virtual numbers yet!

Sunrocket is pretty cool for Voip.. same services as all the rest, except you get a second phone number (does not have to be in your local calling area), and they have a flat rate
$199 per year plan.

I've got Vonage and it works about 89% of the time and I'm on a 2-3megabit cable connect.
I wanted to use it out at my other house, but I've got a slower wireless line out there (200-400k) and I don't think it'll work.

just go out to your phone junction box and wire the out of your vonage model into the in of your home phone service
