Well, then we'd have to use Cookies which not everyone enables/accepts, or do some IP matching which isn't 100% reliable....so far this method has been working well for us though.

I'm thinking maybe just lowering the session timeout will increase security though.

One of the big ideas behind session id's is not having to store custom data like preferences, usernames and specs into cookies or urls... ;)
