Most people in America drink cheap rot gut sake, so it's no suprise they have a bad experience with it.
Quality sake tastes quite good, and is far less likely to leave you with a hangover. For the truly decadent, there is even a brand that has gold flakes in it (like Jagermeister does). For you folks in L.A. - check out the Seabar at the Mondrian Hotel (same place where the Skybar is located). add Yukon jack to the nasty list. Bought a bottle a while back and it sat in my freezer for 3 months before I decided to drink it instead of pouring it out. Let's just say the next morning was not a pleasent one....
