You can do anything if you have the skills, experience, talent money and time to back it up.

It's not all about traffic, it's all about converting traffic.

This will take the skill to put together something that the traffic wants to buy. So you need to know what you are buying for content, able to design the best way to display the content, experience on how to generate the traffic. And in that order.

The idea that you can throw as site together and send traffic to it to make money is SO 1998!!!!

TODAYS INTERENT IS A LITTLE TOUGHER THAN THAT BECAUSE YOU'RE COMPETING WITH PEOPLE WHO ARE FOLLOWING THE ABOVE GUIDE LINES

I think you could for sure. I would suggest some high end deluxe pass sites and some paid gallery spots to get going. Good luck.

PS I do not think just submitting sites to the avs directory and counting on the upsells will work like it used to in the old days.

spoken like a content guy...traffic is king though.

More important than building a new site every day, is promoting the one you have. Your thought process is so 1999. Learn to AVS in 2005. There is a difference.

Welcome to the 21st Century. Promote your AVs just like you would promote your paysite and you will rake in the bucks. Wait for the AVS to send you the traffic and you will likely starve.

Most sponsors don't have a problem with it because they know AVS traffic is gold.

Use sponsor content to upsell that sponsor in the AVS and watch your conversions soar. Much better than TGP ratios

Not unless you can convert it at a profit.

Traffic is fairly easy to raise, you can buy it, generate it yourself, get affiliates to send it, trade it and many more methods. It's possible to raise 1 million hits a day. Problem would be converting them at a profit.

KING is converting at a profit.

Welcome to the 21st Century where throwing mud at a wall is no longer an Internet business plan.

If you want to make money in the 21st century Adult Net, follow these simple rules.

Find a product worth selling.
Work on the presentation of that product.
Then concentrate on getting as many people to see it as you can within a margin that leaves a profit.

He did it submitting to less than 10 sites, selling $4.95 lifetime memberships. Oh yeah . . . he only has 1 site in the system.

Well, I think it is people that either got shafted by another company, or just read GFY too much. Anyone that knows what they are doing knows the truth.

what do you mean? he has 1 site he submitted to 10 different avs's?
or he's only with 1 avs, and submits the site to like 10 tgps, or something?

I don't know or care what he did or did not do with other AVS's although I got the impression he only uses us.

Some people use the theory of making 100's if not 1,000's of AVS sites, submitting them and forgetting them, hoping for A) the AVS linklist traffic; or B) waiting for the search engines to find them.

He made 1 AVS site, and then every day would make 1 TGP gallery and 1 freesite (as I recall) with his AVS site in place of some other sponsor program, and submitted the TGP gallery to just a few TGP's and the freesite to a couple linklists. I doubt that he spent more than a couple hours a day.

Paul Markham 03-13-2005 01:26 AM

Seems to me the guy had a shit hot product, good design/display and converted well without thrown millions of hits at it.

Maybe it's time I started looking at AVS sites to promote our paysite.

You might think that, but you would be so very wrong. The site was simple. If you read the AVS tutorial I wrote, I give an example of a site that closely resembles his.

He has a teen site, and sends very little traffic to be honest. SPP just converts really well.

Sounds like this SPP is kick arse then.

Must be a great program to do this, who owns it ........... :winkwink:

I really need to discuss this specifically in the tutorial. I thought I had (I meant to), but I can't find it if I did.

In a nutshell, if you are going to TGP to get traffic to your paysite, you are fighting a losing battle because a majority of TGP surfers really want free porn. Trying to talk them into a $30/mo membership can be tough. So try and sell them a one-time $4.95, lifetime membership and it becomes a little easier.

Now, make your AVS site a little more hardcore than a TGP gallery. In other words, get paid ($20-30) for the right to give them a hardcore tour.

You have filtered your traffic, you will have much better conversions.

AVS traffic is absolutely the best traffic you can send to your sponsors. Every surfer you send to your sponsor from your AVS site (a) Has a credit card and (b) is willing to use it online for porn.

It's on the same level as promoting another paysite inside your paysite (and in the same niche, if you're smart).

beta-tester 03-13-2005 02:56 AM

I don't know. I've never before tried to for with AVS/paysites...

Sexzity 03-13-2005 05:21 AM

I am going to try AVS :winkwink:

adonthenet 03-13-2005 05:24 AM

unless you have your own traffic sources.. =)

The AVS site would make money off it's own back, but there is always the possibility of upselling. Everyone wants it for free, but most know to get the best you have to fork out.

But there is you saying it's not on and another telling us AVS traffic is great to upsell. :upsidedow

Tipsy 03-13-2005 07:42 AM

A small word of caution to those confused...be careful who you use to upsell to. A 'good' AVS system offers a lot and if the members area of the site you upsell isn't shit hot they'll cancel very quickly. However, upsell a quality sponsors and they can rebill for a long time. Alternatively of course you can always upsell a PPS site.

As BD says though upselling these days it like the icing on the cake. If you're serious about making money with AVS you need pass sales and that means as with everything else you still need good sources of traffic.

There are no streets lined with gold anymore. It takes work whatever method you use to make money.

I am sorry, I have read this 3 times, and it looks like English, but I have no idea what you just said.

I thought it was a given that AVS traffic is the best qualified traffic there is. It is even better than SE traffic, because you have weeded out the people that are not going to pay for porn

xNetworx 03-13-2005 03:20 PM

Baddog... how many of your SPP webmasters grossed over 100k last year?

w0rstluk 03-13-2005 03:30 PM

i've been doing avs for about 4-5 years, and i can tell you honestly that the money from the linklists is just not there anymore. about 15-20 months ago you could make an adultbouncer site and get thousands of dollars(including amazing rebills) from new signups just from the new list. Try to do that now you will struggle to do 5+ signups.

its frustrating becuase i havent really learned how to do anything else, im mostly an avs guy.

this tgp --> cheap/free avs site upsell seems like the way to go for now. I might just try that out :thumbsup

If you're already making AVS sites, you'll find you have most of the skills you need to get going.
