AAF traffic and rebills

I'm new the advertising game in general and have been using AFF for the past 2 weeks with pretty good results. Overall I like the system so far with the lone exception of getting dinged 100% for chargebacks/etc. when I only got 55% of the sale to start with.

Anyhow, for you veterans out there I was wondering what your experiences have been as far as rebills. How long does the average user stay signed up and how many even last to the first rebill?

Just a bit curious as I can project my first month's income now, but am pretty clueless how month 2-6 would be due to rebills.

Thanks in advance for any insight.

Since they don't show rebills in the affiliate area, it would be impossible to guess. As big as AFF is, I can't imagine not being able to see my rebills but whatever.

Hrmm you guys just told me two things about AFF I didn't know ;p

They don't show rebills? I can't imagine why not...but in any case, dating sites usually have a rebill rate of 2-4 months if that helps.

If they pay you 55%, they should only deduct 55% on refunds/chargebacks. That's common sense. I wasn't aware that they take more than they give, but thanks for the info

Not to piss you off but I was sort of wondering about the charge backs deduction also. I am assuming that it is my % but can't tell. Thanks in advance and your answer might clear it with the masses.

Welcome, DJScrib -- to the AdultFriendFinder Program. Forgive us our late response -- Sagi and I are in Cancun, drumming up business with the people who would NOT give AFF their business if our practices were anything less than the Industry's BEST.

Yes, your chargebacks do appear in their full amount on your stats page -- BUT, we DO NOT hit up for 100% of the CB amount. We simply show you the full CB amount, just as we show you the full order amount -- though BOTH are subject to your payout percentage. We DO NOT chargeback more than we had originally credited you for on the sale --that would be ABSURD and DISHONEST.

As for the performance of your rebills, I'll leave it to other GFYers to relate their impartial, real-world experiences and opinions.

Suffice it to say, the AFF re-bill and retention rates have to be experienced to be believed.

Regards (and Welcome, once again)

Actually I do not believe the statement we do not chargeback more then we had originally credited is entirely true. You unfortunately post the chargeback on the day it happened, and not on the day the order was placed. This appears to cause it to use the chargeback days percentage to determine what you were paid, and not the orders date. For example, someone placed an order on March 5th for 119.89, and the chargeback was on posted on the 7th of March. On the 5th I did not quite send 50 free signups, but on the 7th I did, so my payout percentage on the day the chargeback was posted is higher.

I imagine this is just an oversight, but you really should post the chargeback on the day the order occurred to avoid this type of problem. If you feel I'm mistaken please feel free to enlighten me, but the math does seem to add up the way I said it does.

I have nothing but love for AFF. That's no shit but why can't we see our rebills? That's unheard of in affiliate stats areas. That's a pretty valuable piece of information honestly. It would be really really REALLY helpful to see that info.

I didn't say anything bad towards your program, nor did I spam them with any 'signup with us instead' links.

Get off your high fucking ego trip and relax once in awhile. You're in Cancun, why don't you enjoy it ?

The rebills are great. I can say this because I pushed them forever without them so now they are a total bonus to me. They seem to be about 25% of my monthly total. Very hard to tell for sure.

You've lost so much business because of your idiotic tactics. As long as you continue to jump into AFF threads to spam your sig, you will continue to lose business and any semblance of a respectable reputation you ever had. Your little AFF wannabe program will never see a single hit from me.

Uhm, did you even read my posts those threads you just listed above? Take for example "your favorite". All I did in that one, is give Jack's ICQ number to someone who asked for it. Damn yeah I was going all out against them

Also, incase you haven't noticed, I'm not a rep nor do I have any referral id in my sig; in other words, I don't make commission on people who signup.

I post in most dating related threads. I work in the dating industry. See the link yet?

EDIT: Sorry, I do have a refcode in my sig, just saw it. I use it to track how well certain sig banners do, but still don't get commission

You don't really believe your own bullshit, do you? Here's your sig

"Keith Bussey

You're trying to mooch every bit of publicity from AFF that you can. It's sad really.

It's not competition when they repeatedly intrude in a thread that has absolutely nothing to do with them. It's completely unethical and unprofessional (not that that matters in this business). I'm just calling them on it.

since Sagi & Jack our out of the office, I wanted to clarify a few items brought up on this thread

1. The 'chargeback' column you're referring to includes refunds, credits and adjustments. We pride ourselves on excellent customer service and sometimes that means issuing a partial or complete refund to the customer.

2. The percentage deduction of the chargeback/credit is determined by the percentage earned on the date of the order, not the chargeback/credit

3. AFF's chargeback rate is actually one of the lowest in the industry. Banks wouldn't do business with us otherwise.

Please feel free to ICQ me at 215446267 for specific account questions.

Ok, I think it's obvious we're speaking two different languages here. Having my position with my company in my signature is spamming?

Again, I will post in any thread I wish to post in. Jack or yourself are free to do the same. Normally, I do post in ANY dating-related thread...if you consider it spamming, well, to each their own.

Since it's friday afternoon, I'll just let this drop and not continue the back-n-forth here with you.

While I'm sure you believe that to be true, someone really should look more into it then just saying, yes it works that way.

Day of order = 65%
Day of chargeback = 55%

Total amount made on day of chargeback: $169.85 Member Bonus: $8.75
My cut: 93.42 + 4.81 (member bonus) = $98.23
Chargeback amount: $129.48
55% of chargeback amount: $71.21
65% of chargeback amount: $84.16
Total amount I really made that day: $27.02
Total amount I should of made: $14.07

The math is fairly obvious, and as you can see, it was to my advantage on this day. I am not posting to be an ass, I see something that appears to be broken, and feel it should be fixed.

On a related note as to which orders are recurring and which are new, this is by far the thing that annoys me the most. AFF is a great program, and I have no desire to send my traffic elsewhere, but for the life of me I can not understand what is so difficult about showing reorders. You know which orders are reorders when you show us our stats already, you have to, as they get paid out at a different rate then new orders. Just show it to us already heh.

Yep, their stats are kind of confusing but compared to other dating sites they convert and pay

AFF is a great program, and I have no desire to send my traffic elsewhere, but for the life of me I can not understand what is so difficult about showing reorders. You know which orders are reorders when you show us our stats already, you have to, as they get paid out at a different rate then new orders. Just show it to us already heh.
darnoth, you have some valid points. Permit me some time to take a look at our exact calculation mechanism for the application of CBs.

If fairness and correctness dictate we make a change, we'll make that change.

Cool?
