I read many threads about and with the correct (+35 to +40) offset there is no problem. You can even fit 265 tires..im going with 225's

I had 17" stock Rims on my 01 A4 and it looked like you could go a little bigger, as far as the newer A4 i just picked it up with the 17" sport package rims and it looks like you could probably put 19''s on it without any mods maybe even 20's but thats pushin it hard. But I agree Audi's arent made for super chromed out rims, polished aluminum or polished alloy rims looks far better on these cars.
