				 | if a sponsor is going to shave.. atleast they should have a X value that you have to hit first before they start shaving.. this way it would make it harder to notice.. :-/

				 | NATS programs don't shave or should I say can't (no control over code) And honestly most programs don't need to shave. Some will reclaim sales from returning visitors. Like realitycash.com do and this is fine cause if they are paying $25-35 on tiny trials they need to take those extra cookie sales themselfs to stay in business. You make most of the money cause your getting paid $35 per signup. Recurring programs will give you those cookie return customers but won't make you as much overall as PPS sponsors cause recurring almost never makes as much even after 8 months of rebills. |

				 | Just a quick thought here.. not to rain on your parade, but in regards to your 'signup'.. Was this a full blown pull-out-the-credit-card gold membership AFF signup, or were you clicking through and just adding an email address? I only ask, because if it's the latter, not the former, is it possible that you triggered their anti-fraud systems? It would make sense to me... |

Its been proven on many occasions this just isnt the case.. I would bet my left nut that realitycash does NOT shave. That being said recently realitycash fhg's were being redirected to 10dollarcash sites. Hits were tracked by nats but no sales as the page being displayed was not a nats site. Now in this case it was a mistake , but any program could do the exact same thing and make it almost impossible to tell.

				 | Keep in mind that some affiliate tracking works differently accross sponsors. Not many sponsors use the same software, and most is custom written. I have provided security & fraud infomation to a lot of businesses here, including mainstream and adult companies. Some things that may have triggered your "test signup" not to show in your stats are: - Free or paid signup? - Delayed Statistics? - Did you use a females name on the CC and select you are male? or vice versa? - Did you signup from the SAME IP as that you logged into the affiliate area with? - Are you already a member? Same email used? Same CC# ? Maybe a combination. - What country did you purchase from? - What country is your CC based in? - What ZIP/Postcode code did you use? - Your signup may be "pending" in their database for one of the above reasons Of course there are many many more reasons that could contribute to your test not appearing - I would be happy to discuss this with anyone - that is what I charge for Chances are you were screened, not shaved. You'd be a fool to try and shave in this business today - it is so much easier to do business the upfront and honest way. Every company needs, and should have an above average fraud control system, and/or someone moniterring fraud to come capacity. There is nothing worse than having an abundance of refunds and chargebacks that you have paid out on. If you don't have anything like this in place, or would like to upgrade your current solution, hit me up - fraud control is what I do =) |
