Regarding trackback, my understanding of it is that it works automatically when it works at all (which is, only when both blogs are trackback enabled.) If my blog used software that knows trackback (it doesn't), and if your blog software does trackback pings (I dunno), then when you blogged about a particular post of mine, your software would "ping" my software, and a trackback link would appear in the comments below my post, telling my readers that you had written about this post.

It's possible to "ping" a trackback-enabled blog in other ways, creating a bogus spam trackback link on my blog pointing whereever. I don't know how to do that, but I know that such trackback spam is growing into a huge problem for track-back enabled blogs. From what I know, any method of "trackbacking to me" other than blogging about one of my posts while using trackback-enabled blog software, would be spam.

I'm in the process of converting my blogs to WordPress, but I don't know if I'll enable trackback or not. It makes a lot of sense for political blogs, but I don't know if it makes sense for adult blogs. I just don't have the experience with it to say.

Not necessarily, VeriSexy. You can have a bunch of freesites on blogger without a problem. I happen to think that the blogger service will have more support than any other free blogware out there. You can just set it up with FTP access and use its backend interface. It is very easy to use and customize. But the same could be said of other programs out there.

For those of you using the free subdomain (no FTP to your site) through blogger, BE WARY!!! If you later choose to move your blog to your own domain, the name of your blogger account (ie teensexblog.blogspot.com) you chose WILL BE COME AVAILABLE AGAIN!!! I lost cumfiesta.blogspot.com about a year ago this way, and someone whored the PR 4 and backlinks I had worked up before moving the blog... (please correct me if this has been corrected at blogger)

my site has a my definite imprint on it and i think that sets it apart.

I am not sure what advice baddog and Tat2jr will give you but what jumps out at me is the fact that you aren't running the blog on your own domain.

With all the time and effort you are obviously putting into your blog I think you should really have people bookmarking and linking to www.contactpornstars.com, the domain you own, rather than http://contactpornstars.blogs.com/

It will build up the value in your domain name over the years and you are not relying on a service (typepad's blogs.com) to keep all your bookmarkers and links running. :2 cents:

Now, you may be asking yourself, "how does this apply to me?"

Well there are a couple of ways that you can use this to your advantage.

#1. As stated PRadult allows you to make keyword rich press releases to surfers. Press releases are great for link building, which of course, the search engines love.

#2. RSS feeds are a great way to add fresh, keyword rich text to your blogs. We offer RSS feeds by niche. You can either get feeds of every press release that comes thru, or you can specify the feeds you want by niche. Everything from amateur to voyeur. If you have a webmaster blog, you can also use our webmaster feed.

Fresh, keyword text is loved by the search engine spiders.

with 9 million + blogs online you better have something unique or you will end up just having a resource hogging tgp.
