Mouse highlighting problem. HELP What causes this..... - GoFuckYourself.com

When I try to highlight and copy some text with my mouse it's hard as hell to get what I want highlighted. Usually loses some or highlights too much or drops the highlighting on all of it. Seems if I press down extra hard on the mouse button it seems to help some but not always.

It comes and goes. I switched mice with no fix but both were/ are logitech optical mice. (USB)

Seems that it's more prevelant when I go for a few days without rebooting (XP)

Any ideas?

Same problem when I use the vertical scroll bar on the left of a web page. It will lose it unless I mash t he hell out of the mouse button.

bad mouse, drivers, ?

not sure if this helps but if you are copying from the web, try copying when the page loads, otherwise that can happen, happened to me before

Had to clear cache in ie,
