My bank was robbed this morning
I woke up around eleven, took a shower, and went to the bank. The place was cordoned off by the cops, with bunch of plainclothes interviewing witnesses. There wasn't an ambulance though, so I guess nobody was hurt. Before leaving I spoke briefly to one of the secutiry guards and he told me that the bank had been robbed.
I'm so glad that I wasn't there half an hour earlier ;) |

Banks get robbed all the time, usually just a guy with a note quietly getting his loot and getting the fuck out.
I used to own a computer store in a strip mall with a bank in the center, nice neighborhood, and it would get robbed about once every 4-5 months. Once, a guy who robbed it went by me as I was pulling up to the back of my store (I didn't know that he had just robbed the bank). When I saw cops at the bank, it dawned on me that the guy seemed odd, wearing a baseball cap down tight on his head and dark sunglasses carrying a small backpack and in a hurry, and went and gave a statement to the police. They acted like it happens all the time, no biggie. I guess the banks like to keep it kinda quiet. |
