Virtual dedicated hosting... Oxymoron?
I'm showing my ignorance here, maybe.
I just noticed Godaddy is offering virtual dedicated hosting plans. Is this possible? I thought virtual hosting was sharing a server... and dedicated hosting was having a server all to yourself. Can someone explain virtual hosting to me?

its a virtual private server, has its own environment. more powerful then virtual hosting, less power then a real dedicated;

If you are interested in testing out a VPS (Virtual Private Server same as Virtual Dedicated Server) solution we have a beta test server for Hsphere VPS. It is free for a month. No commitment. We are just looking for a few guys to work on it and let us know of any problems. We just rolled it out about 1 week ago and are looking to get a decent load on it for our testing.
