Well as I have told you all before my neighbors love to honk the horn all the time. Well they woke me up again at 7:30 so I went out and went off. I told the guy I was very sorry he had to get up and go to work at that time but I didn't, nor do I need to be woken up at that time by an idiot blasting there horn. I bet it won't help. This is making my old neighbor not seem so bad. LMFAO.

disconnect his horn in the middle of the night or if you cant do that, go buy a fog horn and in the morning when hes leaving for work, jump out from behind the bushs and blast it in his ear lol

You should call the cops seriously if it continues after you've asked them, yelled at them.. To protect and serve.. you need service and you pay for it and deserve it. It's ridiculous when you have to put up with it constantly.. some people just dont get it.

I had a situation some years back where the guy next door, who worked at nights, would come home and play his music from 2-5 am EVERY NIGHT--and loud!

Spoke to him, wrote letters to him, called the cops on him.

I realized that reason was not going to work, only "noise equalization payments" would work.

I knew he fell asleep at 5-ish a.m., so I would put in a Ricky Martin cd, press the loop button on the cd player, and blast the shit out of it for five hours or so until I came back from running errands.

Did it exactly one day and that was the end of my problem.

Haha! We used to have neighbours like that and handled it the same way. They were a bunch of young people all living in the house, parties all the time, cars coming and going. We'd start blasting the opera music in their direction around 7am, when a nice hangover was setting in for them.

It wasn't long before they moved out

If the cops wont do anything on your behalf, they wont do anything on their behalf. So just go out at 3am and do it. You can always say you were looking for a notepad and accidently leaned on the horn 5 nights in a row.

I feel your pain. I'm in a newish housing estate so I often get woken up by builders on nearby blocks. The bylaws say they are allowed to start at 7am but they're often bashing around 30 mins earlier. I've usually gone to bed only 2 hours earlier.

That reminds me, we don't have any neighbours yet. Who knows what we'll get!

my new neighbors are going to be a nightmare, I can see it already. They have this guady plastic orange fence seperating our front yard property right now, apparently its a snow drift fence, but its stupid, theres no drifting anywhere? It was there when we looked at the property and put an offer in, back in OCTOBER! The realitor said they didnt want our leaves blowing into their yard!

Ok, so OCD issue #2... they have boobietrapped their driveway. They have this long rope that goes from one side to the other, and when the wife comes home, she has to get out of the car, undo the rope, and get back in her car, pull it into the driveway, get back out, put the rope back up, then she opens her garage door, pulls into the garage, and comes back out, walks down the driveway and DOUBLE checks the rope to make sure its secure! EVERYTIME she leaves or comes home, she does this! Apparently, she doesnt want anyone parking in her driveway or turning around in it.

OCD issue #3 last week when our realitor came to check on the house the husband came over here and almost wacked him with a shovel when he snuck up behind him in the back yard. Garrett (our realitor) was walking around checking all the windows. Neighbor man with the shovel wanted to know who he was sneaking around the place. He told him he was the realitor and the guy wigged out "why hasn't this place sold, its a gorgeous home, nice street, whats the problem, its been on the market for months, i want to know whats going on!" He told him it was sold and we were closing soon, etc.

OCD issue #4 so we're painting & tearing up carpets the other day and the old man and his wife pulled out of their driveway. I see them backing up too far, in front of our place, and there they sat, backing and pulling forward several times, as they tried to stare into our windows & garage to see what was going on. When they saw me looking out the window, the wife nudged the husband and they drove off. lol

This summer will be fun, can't wait to have them over for back yard bbq's and keg parties.
