.us names, are there any restrictions on how the names are used or is it just you are supposed to be located in the US ?

.US United States Domain Registration - Applicant must have a business in US or citizenship.

There are BIG restrictions ... ironically, the land of the free isn't so free when it comes to .US domains ... my FuckCensorship.US domain, along with numerous other similar domains, are in perpetual lock and don't work - the .US registry has restrictions as strict, if not stricter, than NSI did back in the pre-ICANN days.
For adult, .US is best avoided! Ron

Their policy appears to be quite "fluid", so most any .US domain is at risk ... I wouldn't be surprised if content alone is grounds for losing a .US domain.
With all that said, .US may be worthwhile for some folks to capture type-in traffic, etc ... but one should not rely on .US for their primary site(s) / branding. Ron
