Need Your Help! Music Question - 4 XMas

Ok, Christmas is coming, and coming real fucking fast. I am screwed. I need to get the CD of a band I don't know the name of, for a song I don't know the name of.

OK, if you ever saw the newer Mitsubishi car commercials, it is that song. I can't hum the fucking thing on a board, so I'll try to describe the commercials.

The one with the 3 black chicks grooving in their car at the gas station, the couple cruising thru the traffic tunnel at night, that is the song I need to find. Basically, all the people are in Mitsubishi's, and it's at night, and they are getting into this one song while parked or driving.

I really hope someone on this board knows what I am talking about.

I know exactly what tune you're talkin' about...just can't think of the name of it. It's right on the tip of my tongue tho...

Either you're thinking of Wayne's World, or I must have missed that commercial LOL

Nah, I know that song. This is a more modern band, not Queen. If I lived in a populated area, I might have half a chance of scanning the pop stations and getting the name. but all that comes in out here is fucking country songs, and oldies stations.

I have no clue. I never heard Bare Naked Ladies, unless they are the band in this commercial that is complicating my life. If Bare Naked Ladies has a tune in a Mitsubishi commercial, PLEASE tell me the name of the song so I can buy the CD.

I went to Mitsubishi.com and they were as useless as tits on a bull. Maybe I need to install the Japanese language plug-in to find out the name of that band.

I am not sure if this song is rock. I call it pop. It sounds like a dance club kind of song to me, since I like classic rock and metal. If they used a Suicidal Tendancies song in the commercial, I'd have no problem.

I know it has some kind of horns, maybe a trumpet, in the song.

The singer says/sampled either "light it up, baby" or "fire it up, baby" - at least that is what it sounds like to me. It is not a full out thumpity thump Power Puff girls disco type song like you hear on 99% of FLASH porn tours.

Yes you do Bro ... Moby and BNL are ESSENTIAL TUNES to have in your collection ... but just buy a CDR ... much cheeper in the long run ... as long as you use the music for personal use or give as gifts, you are not breaking the law ... selling them is a different story though ...
