A lot of that is webmasters that were here last night waiting for the story to develop and for people to post recordings, etc.

Actually, you have your facts wrong. That's unique pages views, so if someone clicks every page of the thread, that's 20 on the counter.

Known surfers get booted from GFY.

Actually, the GFY counter doesn't count uniques correctly. If you look closer, you'll notice that refreshes count as well, and always have been. Go to 30-day old threads and refresh 10 times. The counter will increase accordingly.

Refreshes sure count. Try this with very old threads that you know no one will access in the next minute or so. I just did, and the counter sure does increase
