.in extentions are a nice investment - Looks like a load of you guys here have been cleaning up! By the way - Who has kev.in? I wanted that one and am willing to buy, or trade kelv.in for it. |

If I waited for it to "evolve", it would've been too late to grab anything good at this price. You know how that works :) Edit: Btw, i know a few law schools that would be interested in lawschools.in and same goes for med schools. Also picked up a major state name, which I am sure will cover my investment 100x times as much as i spent today :winkwink: |

how is my one frp.in ?

so I don't think you will get many type ins from english words and .in domains ever will they have some other value...? well, perhaps yes |
btw from what i know there's already the co.in extension and ppl in India are used to it so probably it will take a long time for sure before there will be even some established websites with the .in extension

How about men.in? :) |
.in domains suck donkey testicles. There were a few good ones, but those are all gone now. Now anything registered is just because of foolish hype.

am i missing something, how the fuck is a .in domain valuable unless you're snagging domains that use indian words?
|

|

I understand that india has huge market but there are other countries that have too. I was just wandering why is it *.in domains. Why not chinese, indonesians, philipines... whatewer? Is it because language barrier?
|
spelling
and I am also wondering, if its wandering or wondering, but perhaps wondering, or maybe even wonderring.

Haha, you of all people should be able to see through your own statement here. Everything is #'s and when you have a lot of them, you are golden. Google gets way more hits than any other search engine and yahoo is #2. That is why we TARGET those and then secondary everything else. Population India: 1,065,070,607 - median age = 24.4 - Purchasing Power - 3.033 Trillion Population Poland: 38,626,349 - median age = 36.2 - Purchasing Power - $427.1 Billion Internet users, 18 million India to 8 million Poland. India is an opening market that is booming and becoming more technical and Poland is a levelled market that isn't expected much more increase outside of the rate of population growth. India is going to be like we were during 1998 when everyone and their grandma started using the internet. |
Quote:
yea, tell me ... You can't compare India and Poland in this case at all. |
What's the best .in domains you got? Almost everything I looked for was already taken
|

Didn't do much homework on this one, did you? - Even 90% of Indian search engines are in ENGLISH - I haven't yet found a Polish search engine in English - |
My point was that regardless how many people live in India, or how many of them speak English, they won't type in be default english terms in their browsers like insurance.in or hotlesbians.in
so whoever registers them and expects type in visitors, will be disappointed |

but i STILL think many people who have no clue about doamins and registred some .in names in order to make easy cash will be disappointed I am not speaking about DomBuyer, he probably knows what he does and he has lots of money to risk anyway. |

Check out some of the popular indian sites like http://in.yahoo.com/ and India's largest media company, http://in.indiatimes.com/, all in english. Without marketing and branding, generic names still rule. |

I mean they either will turn into something good over the next 2 or 3 years or i wasted a few 100 bucks. |
I wonder why their paypal account said that only 2 people paid them before.
I would expect 100's by now. |

As for typeins - Sure there will be some gain on that - But I think both the reseller and the brandable domains were probably upermost in the purchasing webmasterrs minds - I know the load I bought were for these two reasons, mainly - |
