you contacted the hosting company or IP holder?

There is also nothing in the ICANN agreement
(http://www.icann.org/registrars/ra-a...nt-17may01.htm) that contends
that we are authorized to judge content.

We are the registrar for the name only, and as such, there is no problem
with the name and I will not dismantle the domain.

I think that you have confused a registrar with a hosting company.

If you really think that there is a responsibility of 'carriers' such as the
registrar and the registry, then you may want to try and have this
discussion with the registry of record for *all* the .com's and .net's -
www.verisign.com - I think that you will also find that they are not
authorized to shut down a domain name due to the use of the hosting.
