Yeha right. Thye did it because more cases will get throw out by FEDERAL judges. Companies no longer have to worry about getting sued so now they can fuck you over even more. ever heard of STATES RIGHTS. For a republican Bush is certainly EXPANDING the role federal government. wy bother saving states anymore since Bush wants the FEDERAL governemnt to control everything. Bush wants to tell local schools how to best run themselves because they get a WHOPPING 6% of their funding from the Federal government? Where the fuck else does that happen in real life? That's like having a roomate that pays 6% of the bills and yet gets to tell eveyone what to do.

i guess you've never been targeted by someone who threatens to sue if you dont pay them off. do you think that people should get millions because of their poor choices in life and want someone else to take the blame?

I think the federal government is way too big and is getting too involved in people's lives. And I care more about this country turning into a real life 1984 than being sued. Most people that get sued deserved it and these lawsuit about spilled coffee are few and far between and are used to brainwash people into think getting rid of lawsuits will lower insurance premiums which it won't. insurance companies are not gongto take all this money they are saving and giving back to peole in lower premiums they are goign to put it in thier pockets.

Sure. It also loads down the federal system to the point where it'll take years or decades to pass through real cases. Things like class action suits against PG&E for groundwater contamination with hexavalent chromium, or like the current storm brewing over drug manufacturers knowing for years that a particular brand of analgesic increases the incidence of heart attack or stroke yet continuing to sell the drugs.

Not everyone is out to screw everyone else. Many people have been legitimately wronged, and will now be doubly shafted unless a commessurate increase in funding to the federal court system helps ease the burden of what will amount to a sudden 50x increase in workload.

When the fuck are people going to be grow ups and take responsibility for their own actions?

The title is definitely misleading. All this does is place multi state class action cases in the Federal Court...which is where they belonged in the first place.
