Ter1 Adult name for sale registered before sex.com

Hello Guys and Gals,

This thread was recommended to me.

I am new here so I hope you do not mind that I just jump in and place a for sale thread for my first post. Sorry for the long post but I wanted to give you all the info.

How would you like to go back to 1995 and register some of these fabulous names?

porn.com created on Aug 19, 1995
hymen.com created on Aug. 21, 1995
sex.com created on Oct. 18, 1995
pussy.com created on Oct. 10, 1996
nude.com created on Apr. 11, 1997
business.com created on Apr.30, 1998
boobs.com created on Jan. 23, 1999
tits.com created on Jul. 08, 1999

I am considering selling my domain hymen.com. It was registered just two days after porn.com and before sex.com and most other truly valuable domains on the net.

I have no need to sell as it has made me around $2000. US per month for the last couple of years with zero effort.

A truly brandable keyword name, a term known world-wide.

The wordtracker numbers for hymen are 142,650 monthly.
The overture numbers for hymen are 49,805 monthly.
The overture numbers for hymen.com are 471 which really surprised me as it has never truly had a proper site on it.

The traffic has been around 700 per day; however the name is so specific that it has historically maintained a conversion ratio of about 1 in 300.

This is with no real site and no promotion.

With a professional site this name can probably make ten times that a month, however I am not really an adult webmaster.

Let me tell you something sir. You are full of shit. If you registered a domainname like hymen.com you should be a fucking millionair right now, just like the rest of us. You must have a brain the size of a grapefruit.

Mods please move this thread to the for sale thread I was in that thread when I added a new post I guess I should have used reply instead.

Yes it is for sale if I get the right offer.

Yes we have all made mistakes but I have many other hundreds of very good quality names I also registered once I realized what was going on.

I can see my post has upset some people by the insults it is attracting.

If we all had a crystal ball life would be very easy and profitable.

Damn like it matters, it is a quality name either way.
Trust me that era was a bitch, I could of also had my take on a unbelievable assortment of names and I put my head up my ass as well.
Fuck I even remember telling people soon every company would have a .com after their name. Did I even think of squating on some, nope! Just another day in the life of common human stupidity. Instead I registered TIC.net and .com (abreviated version of my adult bbs, fucked eh?)

Thats a nice name. It's a shame I was barely a teenager when quality domains like those were aviailable for registration.

missing the big domain race of the past is one of my biggest mistakes in life...
When I remember which names I could have registered back then...... i was just tooooo scared to invest 100 bucks per name... instead I registered complete junk.

In the early 90s, NetSol's policy was to arbitrarily allow or deny domain registrations depending on their personal whims. Later, their policy was revised domain names that contained seven dirty words as substrings, shit piss fuck hahahaha cocksucker motherfucker and tits, with occasional exceptions made depending on their personal whims. (And yes, fuck is a subset of motherfucker - so it was really six words; I gather they were parroting some earlier FCC guidelines, and the list became famous with a George Carlin routine making fun of it). Then in mid '99, when NetSol lost their monopoly and other registrars opened up, several registrars (particularly those in non-English-speaking countries) allowed registration of any words. That's when tits.com was registered.

Great domain interbuy

With that name and revenue you should have no trouble finding a buyer.

I remember the mad rush to register those domains... wonder if the domain market will see that type of frenzy again. maybe with .xxx, .sex or .kids but doubt it.
