Grand/St-Jacques in NDG.

Young, right now, the weather is actually pretty nice for this time of year. It went up to about 40 today.

The cold wind is such a buzz kill up there sometimes. Parking is tough out in front of our place so the car basically never moves when we are up there. That requires alot of walking. We usually end up in at least 2 fights a night with cab drivers.

Anybody have any connections at clubs and such? In Boston we never wait, but in Montreal we are peons.

parkiing on St-Denis IS a bitch!

As for clubs, I only go to the foufs, the loft, Jupiter Room etc...

we haven't gone to any of those places. we just got the place last year, montreal is fairly new to us besides going there when were 18 and wanting to drink. So we are still stuck at the typical "american" clubs to go to. Living, Dome etc. washed down shit.

i think we have different ideas of where downtown is then lol. st denis runs up and down, where as st catherine's actually gets farther or closer away from downtown (for example). to me, mgill uni, peel, cresent, bishop etc is more my idea of downtown... of course you live there full time, and know the area much better than myself, so maybe i'm off base.

what's the name of that bar on St. Denis that has 4 or 5 different levels, all playing completely different music?

No no! you'Re not off-base! That's exactly downtown! ;) but I mean...I'm not even at the southern end of St-Denis and I can walk downtown in about 25 minutes! It's not that far!

hmm only bar I went on st. denis was Le Diable Vert (cool place but way overcrowded)

The foufs and the loft both have 2-3 levels, and rooms with different style...but they are respectively on St-Catherine and St-Laurent...

Actually Foufs (foufounes electriques) is the best place to go IMHO.... 1.25$/beer and shooters on friday and saturday, and as for the music, hardcore, metal, oldies etc....

with a giant terrasse in front and in back? you're probably thinking of St-Sulpice.

the borders of downtown are typically considered sherbrooke to the north, rene-levesque to the south, atwater to the west and berri to the east.

michigans kick ass, drunk or not. and foufs is fucking awesome. i've had many drunken thursday and saturday nights there
