				Questions about NATS webmaster referral

I haven't looked into this, so I just thought I'd ask.

When referring webmasters to a NATS program, does their referral link track by cookies or not? Like if someone went to the site, closed it, and came back later by typein (not bookmark) to signup, would I still get credit for the referral? |

So, after a day, if the "ref=#" or whatever is not on the url, I wouldn't get credit anymore?

It depends on what the NATS program uses for webmaster referral. Those that use ?ref=XYZ will not be cookie tracked. Those that use a normal /track/ url will work just like all other systems and store a cookie for by default 10 days.

The ref variable in the form does not HAVE to be filled for you to get credit in case they use /track/.

Heads up on that too.....If I am checking out an affiliates account, and happen to go to their link to make sure everything is cool, and an hour later do a test signup from that page, it give the affiliate the sale....which is hard to explain that it was a test sign up to some, most are cool.
