yeah, its alot about the monumental image the media is painting. people follow what the t.v. tell them to do. those veterans have been there so long that people are desensitized. when 280,000 people die, the area needs help. i understand what your saying though.

The only way you can still do some help is flying over there and give it in their hands.

Theres already way too much money donated to all the companies. People should stop donating! The only thing what will happen now with all the extra money is that it will dissapear in the wrong hands.

From the 100's of millions that are donated, how much will really reach those people? Direct or indirect...i doubt its 10%.

I saw an interview with 2 Dutch doctors who flew to one of the places that was hit the hardest. They helped for 2 weeks or so. They said they saw none of the companies who are supposed to use those donations to help those people. They were nowhere to be found.

Look, if people have to deal with 50 million, its going to take 2 months already just to sort it out, what goes where and when. Then people will be paid for their work, then some more paper work, then this need to be paid and then that. And after 3 months and 50% less money maybe someone will do something about the people who lost their house and family. And now its even worse, because there were way too many donations. This money has to go somewhere. Believe me, the wrong people are getting better from this.

i might have to do that seeing how i am gonna be in bangkok in may.

too bad that people are such assholes and thieves.

Here's a fact a lot of that money is going to get into alquedas hands because after afghanistan it was the #2 base for them. They have more than enough money right now to rebuild that whole area.

I agree makes no sense. Maybe we have all become numb to the people in need and in pain right out our front door. I bet you as we speak homeless people are freezing to death in some alley and no one is rushing out to help them.
