benefits of processing with Epoch?

Give me the goods on Epoch. I think I'm going to use them as my processor. What do you like about them versus CCBill, Verotel, Jettis, etc?

I've heard they don't scrub nearly as hard as CCBill, and that's what's swaying my decision the most.

we use ccbill and epoch and i don't really notice epoch scrubbing any less, seems the same to me.

We decided on them because they seem to be pretty solid and are basically another basket to hold our eggs.

However I must say that if you are only using one and plan on using their affiliate program features then I would definitely lean towards ccbill as their affiliate software and their whole stats in general shine over epochs. Not saying that epochs arent satisfactory and can get the job done.

If you are using your own affiliate software then actually I think i would lean toward epoch.

If you are going to be real serious and not leave money on the table, you will want to use at least 2 processors anyways.

cheers,
BV

I'm guessing you're cascading the processors. What kind of an increase in sales would I see using that type of setup?

huge ones when one of them are having a bad hair day or on normal days it's less. Sorry I can'tgive you exact numbers because I have never actually crunched that data to find out exactly, but they do happen daily. There are older posts here on the subject you can search for that persuaded us to set up cascading a pretty long while ago. (maybe year and a half) definitely was a good move.

Also we have it set where our affiliates can choose whichever one they want as primary processor. This option pretty much satisfies the ccbill haters & lovers.

If you are going to use only one then another reason to go with ccbill is the "merge account" option where affiliates can merge the ccbill acct# for yours and any other ccbill program under thier main one so they can get all their earnings on one check. This alone attracts many "ccbill lover" affiliates.

20% - 30% right off the bat using cascading billing. Then on top of that you should add more payment platforms to allow each and ever surfer that wants to spend their money with you a chance to convert them. Be it check processors, telephone billing, dialers, invoicing, EU debit solutions and so on.

If you dont do this in todays market and want to be presented as a competitive affiliate program or just for yourself, use a full fledged affiliate program software like MPA3, ES or X3.

ccbill doesn't seem to give very many credits (leading to chargebacks)

epoch is real good with customer support and crediting disgruntled members (keeping your cb % low)

If you are cascading, I'd say ccbill and epoch are the best.

20% seems about right

We use Epoch first, but CCBill is just as good.. Pick one and stick with them as your main processor. Jettis is now owned by Epoch, and Verotel I think you have to have an EU company, I think that is them

From your first processor to your second processor, you will see a 15% increase with a cascade.

Sounds like CCbill is your 2nd processor.

Exelent advice Oysten.

xenigo,
Cascading is the way to go. Once you hook up with a solution, make sure you use Web Transaction Services for your ACH (online check) processing. Feel free to hit me up if you need any help getting started with all this.
