I pay $65 to the same guy who's been cutting my hair for about 14 years. He started at $45ish.

I think I may have paid $75 at one point, but nothing higher than that.

$80 for a cut.
If it's just a trim up on a style you plan to keep then don't drop the loot. If it's to update and change styles then it's worth the investment.

I've spend about 150 euros on a haircut once, and it sucked. Now I spend 70 Euros every two weeks

Most I ever paid was $16 ... not really worth it. IMO
The place I almost always go costs me $10, 12 with a tip, and it is worth every penny.

Do you go to a barber shop or those BoRics/SuperCuts type places?

Most I've ever paid was $16 CDN. But I can get it done for $10 CDN and there's no difference.

I paid 85 for cut and coloring in Vegas. Gave a 50 buck tip as well.

I just cut off most of my hair 2 days ago, shaved on the side again.

Oh well.

the pain with having really long hair like I do is that I don't want much actually cut off but I need something done with my bangs and it just juiced up a bit. I want to keep growing it as it just took me too many years to get it this long (to the small of my back)

Hmm... My GF knows how to justify the price...

But for me it's difficult to spot the difference between 20$ haircut and 50$ haircut.

$45 for a trim or $135 for a foil and trim. It does add up though. I get my hair trimmed every 6 weeks and do a foil every 2-3 months.

I paid $160 for a perm that went really bad - my hair went orange and its black, so I went to a different guy at the same place for $80 and he cut all my hair off very very short, coloured it and I've been short hair ever since. going to let it grow again I think.

$35, that's what I pay at my current hair dresser. But the $8 Taiwanese guy in Milpitas Mall still cut my hair better

Oddly, most human hair wigs are worn by people who are bald and not in chemo.

My gf does the same thing. It's nuts how much she spends on her hair each year.

Sometimes its better to pay MORE! The JC Penny's Salon usually costs me about $30 (plus a tip) for a wash & cut (add another $10 to style it). I was in a hurry and wanted to save a few bucks so I went to this Hairport place in town and OMFG, I have haid to my ass, so I took in 4 pics I found online that I liked, said this is how I want it to look, take about 6" off the back, so its about 6" below my bra and about 4-5" above my ass (waistband) and I want it layered, and I want the sides to angle in. Ok so she wets it down, sits me in the chair, and starts cutting. About 15 mins later, after she's cut the back straight across, taking about 8" off, she said "You know, I'm just not comfortable layering your hair, I'll just leave it trimmed up, nice & even, it doesn't V cause you said not to have a V in the back, and I'll cut the sides" so she starts doing the sides, and she said, how short, and about had the scissors next to my EARS, and I said, NO, I want them to angle, like this... showed her the pics again, and she said, oh ok. She lowers the sheers and takes a big peice and cuts it, then the same on the other side to match. She, teased them a little bit and that was it, cut my bangs, I TOLD HER... "DO NOT CUT THEM SHORTER THAN THE END OF MY NOSE, my hair is naturally curly and they will spring up when they dry" so what does she do, cuts them mid nose towards the bridge. What happens, my bangs look 1.5" long when they dry! It cost $15 and a $5 tip, and took 2 weeks for my bangs to grow to a length that I wasn't embarrassed to leave the house. My philosophy now is, if it costs less than $30 don't do it! This Paul Mitchell salon I went to a few years back, they did a WONDERFUL job, gave me that FRIENDS haircut, with highlights, it looked great (wasn't what i asked for) but everyone loved it, and it was $140. So you get what you pay for. I still prefer a gay man to cut my hair over woman, I think they are secretly vandictive and just want to shave it off! lol The guys are amazing! Good Luck! Show us some before & after pics

That is a beautiful thought
I know 2 people who did that. My brother Stephen (rest in peace my sweet angel) grew his hair long enough so that he could donate it to be made into a wig for a cancer patient. Also, one of my best girlfriends grew hers long enough to do the same. Where they sent it, it had to be at least 10 inches in length for them to make it into a wig.

Anyone who does this has a heart of gold.

you know, the funniest part of my story (and scariest) I forgot to add... just as she finishes cutting my hair, she asked me if she could mouse it a little, I said sure. She walked around a few mins, came back & said "I can't find any, its my first day, and I don't know where anything is!" AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
