Any online poker site is rough. I play locally and in casinos a LOT and consistently make money. But I don't play online anymore.

And it's for this reason:

In local games, casino games, people who chase cards are eventually destined to lose overall. They eventually lose. Noone's going to argue that.

In online poker, every flop, 7 people are at your table calling bets each chasing a different straight or flush. So even flopping 2 pair you're destined to lose even with you opening with 2-3 raises before the flop. Those bastards are still there. And of COURSE they're going to bust out playing like that.

That's how you make good money - punishing people like that for chasing.

But it's online poker. And there are an unlimited number of people playing online. So that person who just caught a flush to beat your set on the last card after putting in $50 with NOTHING might bust out in an hour, but there will be 6 more guys like him sitting down next time you're at a table again.

But that's my theory. That's why I don't play online anymore.

Watch out using epassporte on Party Poker... they drove me nuts. I signed up, ran an account for a couple of days, placed well in a tourney, was up about 50% on my account, when BOOM... I can't log in.

Then send me a mail and ask me to contact them. PayPro starts asking 20 questions (including that I reveal "the source of the funding of my epassporte account") and such. They wanted personal bank statements, disclosure of account ownership, and a copy of my epassporte account activity for the last 6 months minimum.

When I declined to reveal personal details, they blew me off. They refunded only the original deposit, and none of the winnings.

The same payment company processes for most of the major poker deals, including 888 and empire. They share all information between them, so when I tried to get an account with these other casinos properties, they shut me off within minutes.

Neither Epassporte or the casinos has been willing to comment on this matter.

I'm playing 5/10 right now, put in $100 and am currently at $179....though I was as low as $27 before climbing back up.

My goal is $250, if I reach that I stop...if I don't reach it I'll keep playing until I do or goto 0$

What you guys think, I'll make it or not ?

Good luck and all I gotta say is watch out for the flush flops. I just got 2 bad beats on river flushes. I had 3ofakind on one hand and a straight on another

Grrr I just lost a $210 pot because I had straight, 9-K and he had straight 10-A...that would have blew past my goal and I would have stopped if I won it ;/

Now I'm back at $97

Try funding with the prepay.com option, it worked with my Mastercard that's blocked from funding any gambling sites.
Only thing that sucks is the 2.95 surcharge.

Grr I missed another huge pot and now I'm out of the game....

Almost hit a royal flush though

I pocketed J/A of clubs, and the flop had Q/K of clubs....and a 9.

Turn was another 9

River was a 10 of spades! Damn sooo close to a Royal, woulda been my first ever

That left me the 10-A straight though, but he had pocket 9/Q and the full house

Oh well back to work

That is very interesting! I have been using my Epass to cash out and they usually do it within a few hours.

Getting bad beats by dumb fish is really frustrating but it pays off in the long run. I pretty much only play the No Limit single table tourneys so I make those fish PAY to chase those flushes. I can't play limit games for those reasons you mentioned, you can't get people to fold preflop with a min raise.
