TopBucks doesn't pay on backup processor?

I tried to sign up for topbux site "girls get craz" cause I thought I was sending them traffic that should be converting way better than it was. Plus I was curious what they had in their member section, love those mardi gras pics.

My card with a gazillion dollar limit was rejected, but a millesecond after I hit the submit button (didn't seem like enough time to even processes the card), I was redirected to another page with a message saying "your card was declined by our primary credit card processor, please use our backup processor" and my info was already in the fields ready to go, all I had to do was put my # in, and hit submit, and WHALLA! My card was accepted.
Guess what happened when I checked my stats a few hours later.... no credit for the sale.

This could mean 2 things:

#1 the affiliate program is not setup to credit for secondary processors, which would just mean they have an inferior affiliate program to some of the other guysm I know FlashCash pays for backup processor signups.

#2 Their affilate program is setup to automatically send a % of the signups to the "backup" processor so they don't have to pay on the sale.

I think the #2 theory would explain alot, but I don't want to make a fuss.

Is it standard for affilated to not pay on backup processor signups? I heard some of these guys get upto 70% of their initial orders rejected by their primary processors, are the resellers losing 70% of their sales to the backup proc.?

yeah, but it just seemed to throw me over to the backup processor so quickly, like it didn't even try to process my card, just seemed like the submit button on the first page was a link to the backup page?

Do you promote any sites where ibill or ccbill payout directly to you? If so, is there a big difference in your ratios? It's a primitive way to compare...anyway, just a thought

Hey I worked at Topbucks until I got fired for suggesting we shave a few sign ups here and there to buy a PS2 for the office and I can tell you that that programme is as honest as the day is long.

IN FACT, I swear to god, if a surfer clicks on your Topbucks link and DOESN'T sign up, but then goes to the 7-11 and buys a nudie mag, I think you get like a dollar or something.

All that stuff I've said before about Topbucks shaving? That was a lie, Topbucks is like the Taliban of affiliate programmes, shaving is like...illegal to them...bathing too, unless you get an email from Allah.

LOL, they are the "taliban" of sponsers?

The final sale went through IBILL. Not sure how that helps.

Sponsors that don't pay on a signup I get for them ought to be thrown in jail! Not paying out on the secondary processor, wtf??? You put up with that crap?

Either you are desperate for a signup or you don't mind throwing money in the garbage!

It would be nice if some people would learn to READ - Like LEXX can.

It specifically says RIGHT AT THE TOP OF THE STATS PAGE:
"Signups stats from our secondary processor iBill are 24 hours delay"

I think they actually mean UP TO 24 hour delay -- as I usually see a big jump in signups around 6:45-7 AM EST.

The only one CHEATING here is the person trying to get credit for their own sign up. Not one person said ANYTHING about that.

I do not know if they pay on web900 sales or check sales, but they absolutely pay for REAL iBill sales.

The backup sign up thing is a feature. Go to the ARS board to see why - every one there complains when one is down, because they are losing sales. I am not sure how TopBucks detects it, but this feature - is mentioned right on their front page. It is designed to make MORE money for everyone.

People should at least read their own stats - and their sponsors webpage - before slamming sponsors.

Yes, Chris R is right

our secondary processor stats take up to 24 hours to show up. I would check your stats again and see if it's there. I'm positive that all our secondary processor sales are accounted for and given credit to webmasters.

Again, Chris R is right about the fact that signing up for your own membership is in fact cheating. Normally in these cases we won't shut your account down, but you should receive a nice little email from me stating that you will not recieve the money for that sign up. (I'm not trying to be a bitch here, thats what we do in all of these cases)

Again, if you have any further problems or comments feel free to drop me an email.

Ciao,

Alli

Gleem,

We do definitely pay for sales from our backup processor (ibill).

19.76% of Topbucks total sales were from ibill yesterday.

If you could email me your topbucks account number, ibill subscription number and signup date I'll look into this for you.

My email address is [email protected]

Thanks,

Kevin

My sincere appologies to TopBucks.

Your all right, I can't read. Seems to have showed up this morning, I think (who knows where my signup was in all my stats) but I think it's there.

Just one of those things that set off the paranoid webmaster in me.

I have had a bad string of luck with the new group of programs I have been using.

I always 100% of the time sign up for the sponser I am selling. Why the flying fart can't I? How do you expect me to sell and recommend a site to 100,000 of my surfers if I haven't seen what your product is first. You wouldn't goto the store, look at a video game behind the shelf but not buy it, then run home and tell your friends that it's the best game you have ever played and they should all buy it!

If you make it a rule that signing up for yourself is cheating, then you need to give out a password to each reseller so we can see what we are selling.

Obviously I know you are going to say some webm. will sign up 100 times then and cheat the program. But I don't do that, and no one I know would do that either.

I make it a point and always will buy my own MONTHLY membership to every site I ever sell.

gleem - I think the issue is that you should signup by typing in the domain so that you don't get credit for it on your account. Why should they pay you $35 to signup yourself? Every sponsor since the beginning of the net has had the same rule. You signup by clicking on your own link, it is considered cheating. If you didn't know that then you must not know your own job. If you worked at Burger King, an assembly plant, or in a hospital and did not know the basic rules of your job you would get fired. Better start learning.

Well by signing up on my account, it serves 3 functions.

#1 I see if they give members a good deal.

#2 I see if they pay on all signups

#3 I see if they charge people over and over after they cancel. You'd be surprised.

I know the biz, I think it's BS, and it was a rule reated when it was easy to cheat the CC processors and sign up 100 times for yourself and make money. I think with currenct CC scrubbing that would be impossibe or alot harder now.

What's the big deal. Any job where you sell something for someone else you can buy the product you're selling, like those amway deals and stuff. I'm talking about 1 signup here folks.

Gleem,

The difference between you selling our site to a surfer and you selling it to yourself, is the fact that your sign up doesnt even have a chance of converting becuase you're not buying for the content.

In any business, a salesman never earns commissions on something he sells to himself and this applies to our business as well.

But now that you see your sign up was accounted for you know that TopBucks is crediting you for your sign ups and we're being honest. However, again we will not be able to pay you for this sign up because it is not legit - although you do get the benefit of enjoying our girlsgetcrazy site for the duration of your membership

I hope your promotion goes well for you and if you need anything from topbucks please feel free to contact us.

Thanks!

Oh and I forgot to mention this part,

We do offer webmasters who show reasonable need to check out our sites a temporary password. If you need any for any of our other sites contact [email protected]

If you're in a pay per sign up program, then the members area of the site is really of no concern to you. It makes no difference to you one way or the other if they can hold their members.
In a pps all you need to worry about is whether or not the tour converts.
Every pps sponsor I use is ok with "test signups" (if you're not, please let me know so I can stop promoting you)
Sign up for a trial, check your stats and make sure it showed up.
Then email the sponsor and tell them exactly what you did so they can A Not pay you for that sale, and B Gladly refund your 2.95
And of course, if you would have read the topbucks webmaster page, this thread would have never started.

I like to know exactly what I'm selling. How many times can you rip off a surfer and they will keep coming back to buy more stuff your recomending?

You guys are making such a big deal. Whatever, I'm done posting on it. It was resolved hours ago.

making a habit of signing up for a site then canceling is a good way of getting your credit card declined all the time,,

after almost 4 years of being an adultwebmaster i can honestly say that i have never bought a porn membership,,

with all this free porn you gotta be a fool to pay

gleem,

ARS pays on primary and secondary processors, as well as online checking and web900. So we make sure that the surfer has multiple options and you get paid on all of them.
