setting up a wireless network on xp pro media center edition?
i just can't figure out how to setup my wireless to work on my laptop..
anyone else have this issue? |

media edition makes no difference.

1) make sure some laptops have a on off switch for the internal wireless (yeah weird but some toshibas have em)
2) make sure the router is set to broadcast for wirless.. 2 common problems most people overlook..

in the control panel there is a link for 'wireless network setup wizard'..
i run thru that and i gotta set it up manually but i'm having problems.. it was already setup when i was running on xp pro.. |

when i switched my my router setup to wep, my connection wasn't working, and i couldn't connect to my router's ip from my laptop..
this shouldn't be this hard but it is for some reason ![]() |
