setting up a wireless network on xp pro media center edition?
i just can't figure out how to setup my wireless to work on my laptop..
anyone else have this issue? |
anyone running xp pro media center edition?
|
media edition makes no difference.
set this machine up like the others on your network. |
1) make sure some laptops have a on off switch for the internal wireless (yeah weird but some toshibas have em)
2) make sure the router is set to broadcast for wirless.. 2 common problems most people overlook.. |
in the control panel there is a link for 'wireless network setup wizard'..
i run thru that and i gotta set it up manually but i'm having problems.. it was already setup when i was running on xp pro.. |

2) i would have to set this on my main pc if i'm not mistaken, right? |
