"This auction is for a great studio lighting kit for digital, film, and video cameras."
If it's for photo you're gonna heat the room nice and hot if you leave them on for two long. It'll make your model sweat and make her too uncomfortable to hold a pose... or hold a 15" black rubber cock up her ass, depends on what you shoot I suppose. Photo lights are different. They have a soft light inside but then strobe when you snap the shutter.

Not ideal
Its not ideal and you will need to know how to set your stills camera's white balance to suite 3200k lighting. Its more suited to just video as the output for digital stills is too low for my taste.

"This is a new line of equipment from Britek"
That says it all right there. Britek sucks. Period. |

It's ok if your on a budget. Those tungsten lights will get hot as hell if your shooting in a closed environment for very long. Also, your still camera will have to be balanced for tunsten....well, your video camera should be balanced for tungsten as well for that matter. Also, you'll probably do good to set your asa/iso on your still camera to 400 or 800 which will let you use a fast shutter speed which will in turn let you use a small aperture which will give you crisp/clear shots.
But, if you have the money - get these kinds of lights for your video work and get flash for your still work |

the truth is hot lights are ok for stills if you know what you're doing.
and they are easier to work with since you can use automatic exposure---when working with strobes and digital you are usually shooting on manual and tweaking f/stop as you move around the set---this can mean more post processing work balancing gamma and color balance. the main disadvantage to using hot lights with models is aesthetic. when using hot lights your set will be very bright (and hot) all the time and the models' pupils will be closed down---and this look in the eyes is not so attractive. for a sexy glamour look i would advise shooting in subdued light and working with strobes---this causes the models pupils to open up and gives a very sexy glamour look to the eyes. |
