Life is too short to let things like this bug you.

Let's see.......

There *is* a way to request a check, but it doesn't make any sense. Checks are "so last century ". There's no point unless you are dealing wth very large sums of money. The cost of an Electron card so that you can withdraw the funds at any ATM in the world whenever you want makes much more sense. No waitng on the mail, no waiting on the check to clear, no worries that the check won't be honored, no worries with address changes, etc.... Really, how many reasons do you need?

A balance in your ePassporte account means you can shop online whenever you want, or shop around town whenever you want, or withdraw funds from any ATM whenever you want. There is no reason to move that money unless you need it to pay someone else. And, if that person has an ePassporte account, you simply P2P the payment to them for 25 cents and it's done. Cheaper than a stamp and faster than a speeding bullet.

If I'm missing the point, feel free to let me know what your concern is. Otherwise, I really don't understand the complaint.

how about you cant really withdraw much from the ATM each day... so it will mean alot of trips to the ATM if you need alot of cash. And then there's the ATM exchangerate which isn't the best (and some fee each time as well)?

Listen to what "doot" said.

ePassporte has hundreds of thousands of account holders in just two years. The few people who complain either don't have an ePassporte and are just haters for whatever reason, or, they have an account and just don't understand how it works.

Granted, ePassporte is evolving to suit the needs of this industry and along with that come some growing pains. But ePassporte has been quick to resolve issues as they arise. Feeback and constructive criticism are not only welcome, but encouraged. It just makes the prodcut better for everyone.

ePassporte is a new an innovative tool working in an old institution of rules and banking protocol. It has the best of both worlds and more functionality than a few GFY'ers can get their head around. But, that's understandable. I've been with the product since launch and work for a company that knows a thing or two about banking regulations. If someone is confused, I'm here to help.

If your paying an exchange rate, I would venture to say that you still come out ahead by using ePassporte than cashing a check. And, if you have an Electron card for withdrawals, then you can use your card for purchases too. You can pay for pretty much anything (legitimate) with a Visa card so why not use it?

Also, you can raise your daily withdrawal limit by upgrading to a "Select" account. Just log in to your ePassporte account and follow the instructions to upgrade to "Select". There is a one time fee of $5.

I'm not sure that everyone would agree. $500 per day is $182,500.00 a year.

But, ePassporte does make it easy for you to increase your limits by upgrading to a "Select" account (as I mentioned above) from the website.

I have sent a request to ePassporte to inquire about the status of your paperwork and raising your limits.

If you want to target a real audience, $500 a day limit isnt anything, I need to do about $3000 or so in personal and/or biz purchases/deposits a day, so if you like to get bigger customers which I am sure you do (you can use the $ in accounts to collect on interest and other things). Having other customers of epass only able to send $500 a day is crappy too.. takes 4 days to get only $2000.

I wasnt referring only to the withdrawl limit.

Ahhh!!!! Well, that is a taget audience and it's now obvious to me that you have the wrong kind of ePassporte account. If you're in the league of needing thousands per day, either to withdraw, transfer or spend, you need an ePassporte Business account and all of those concerns go away.

Write to me personally if you need specific information. I'll be glad to help. [email protected].

Its always a matter of having the right information.

Epassporte rocks!

Epassporte has been great for me. The only thing I cannot figure out is how to become a select account. Would you know where I would find this info, Rand? I looked all around the admin center.

I wouldn't mind a cheque or wire option. Yes, epass is cutting edge, but at the end of the day many of us still have good old bank accounts and use them. It's impractical to withdraw cash from the ATM and then go and deposit it into my bank account. It also complicates tracking income for tax purposes.

When I signed up I was pretty surprised to see that it will cost $50 if I want to receive a cheque... and I think that's only if you are closing your account. I guess the fee is excessive to discourage people from using this option.

As far as currency exchange rates, my bank's rates are better than epass... here's a real world transaction from 12 hours ago:

withdraw $AUD300 from ATM
=$USD242.42 including $2 fee
So that's $USD240.42 on the epass end (excluding the $2 fee) which works out to a USD->AUD exchange rate of 0.8014

My banks conversion rates for that same time are 0.7995 cash, 0.7841 cheques, 0.7787 wire. A lower number results in more $AUD.

Having the option to be paid out by cheque for a reasonable fee would totally rock.

Rowan - I must be missing something here. Help me out.

If you wanted to be paid by check, then why wouldn't you have your sponsor pay you that way to begin with? Instead of being paid by ePassporte?

Or... if you are receiving funds from some other method other than affiliate payouts, then why wouldn't you use an ePassporte Business account?

And finally, why do you need to move the money from eP to a bank account? Use the money in your eP account to make purchases or withdraw funds if necessary. Why transfer the money in the first place?

i honestly cant believe this

you must be off your tits mate

IF YOU WANT A FUCKING CHEQUE GET PAID BY CHEQUE FROM THE SPONSOR

let me get this right - you have the option to get paid in cash but its too much of a hassle to go to the atm and withdraw that cash? You are earnign so much bling that you would be at the atm 10x a day right?

On top of that you want to put the tax free cash back INTO your bank account - surely one of the most insane manoeuvres ever seen lol

you either have no idea about epassporte or work for the ATO

this shit must drive you nuts Rand

i love epassporte - i really shouldnt post in these threads

I am just sick of the crap people post - nothign better to do so lets knock someone elses shit - no one bothers to research anything it just staright to the 'new thread' button and blurt out the crap

if any aussies need to know about epass just hit me up and I will tell you how it can werk for you too - cheques are for f00's - i know not all sponsors have epass but every week more and more add it as a payment option. You can send money to anyone with an epass account for 25cents and you get your cash instantly as soon as your sponsor hits the send button

The reason I originally opened the epass account was because chokertraffic only pays by electronic methods.

Do epass business accounts let you withdraw funds via cheque?

There are a number of reasons that cash in my bank account and using bank issued credit cards is a better idea:

- My savings account earns 6.77% p/a interest.
- The majority of my Visa purchases are at AU merchants, which means that the USD->AUD exchange rate losses accumulate with each epass transaction. With AU issued cards there is no conversion loss.
- My bank issued credit card has 55 interest free days so I never pay any interest. Sweeping once a month at the last moment also earns a bit of extra interest in the 6.77% account.
- My bank issued credit card has a rewards program, with points redeemable for products or gift vouchers.

BlueQuartz thinks I'm bashing, but I am just pointing out why a cheque option would be nice.

Business accounts do allow for withdrawl via wire, however, the cost of the wire probably outweighs the benefits of your interest bearing accounts unless you are talking about a lot of money. Most business account holders do not withdraw money from their accounts, instead they wire money in and use the account to do things like pay out resellers. There are no load fees via wire transfer (except the wire fee) so in the grand scheme of things they save a lot of money this way.

You would need to look at the numbers as see what makes sense for you, but unfortunately (in your case, anyway) ePassporte doesn't have any banking relationships in the AU system. I don't know of any way around the exchange rates.

That's an excellent deal. Remember too, since ePassporte is a pre-paid card you're not paying any interest either. Use your ePassporte Visa for purchases and if the exchange rate isn't too bad you may still come out ahead.

I agree that's an incentive, but ePassporte doesn't solve everything yet. It has its place just as other financial instruments do.

I realize Blue Quartz is a big fan of ePassporte. He can be a bit over zealous sometimes but its easy to see he's a believer in the product.

If it's any consolation, *I* don't think your bashing.

I'm always open to finding a solution where I can. I agree with your points. But I also think there are ways to make ePassporte work for you without needing to move money out of the account. Unless, like I said, we are talking about substantial amounts of cash.

Feel free to contact me personally if there's anything I can do to help you get something done.

Nice try but lots of make more then 850 a month. Try and get real cash out of that account to do real things and see how you like. Awesome you can buy sneakers at the mall though.

Ok, i just read the whole thread and I emailed you Rand.

I think a lot of us thought of epassporte in the same way. If you have done this a while, you get a billion checks a month. It was cool to just send them to you guys but then they add up and I cannot get them out. $500/day does not cut it at all. I have 12k in my account and I am not going to the ATM everyday for 3 weeks to get it. I know nothing about your industry but ARS can do an auto deposit to my bank account maybe you could use the same technology.

The demand is their for your product. Listen to this in the spirit of someone who is having a hard time using your product as you want and as I want.

PS my account is still on hold can you help with that as i faxed everything to you guys.

I sent again identifying myself with this nick. They unblocked my account but it was reblocked last night. No one knows why and I have to call once those people get to work.

I suppose I could have taken care of this when it first started. BUT they have their own fucking email system so I had no idea i had a problem. They just kept emailing themselves in their system.
