Today they signed Carlos Delgado to a 4 year $52 million deal....the richest in team history.

Now my fish have two leadoff guys at the top, Delgado, Cabrera, Lowell, and Lo Duca in the middle of the order PLUS their kick ass young pitching.

I hope they spank the yanks in 6 again like they did in '03

DElgado is batting for .269 ... Should have got Tony Batista.. same stats... would have saved you $44 millions...

Delgado just had his worst year and still hit over 30HR's and 100RBI.....even if he only replicates what he did last year instead of getting back to "normal" for him he gives us the potent left handed bat we need in the middle of the order.

Plus the way they did the contract was awesome.
He only gets $4 million the first year.....the rest is backloaded.
So if the Marlins don't get their stadium deal done this year they can trade him in the offseason
