It won't take very long until even the americans realize that Audi is making better cars than MB and BMW. Right now its all just branding in the US, noone really needs to know how good the different models really hard.

Audi is constantly winning comparision tests with BMW and MB. They have come a long way in the past 4 years.

over here audis are more expensive than bmw's at least second hand. i can find lots of m5's for sale at $40k+ but an rs6 (same class) i cant find any for less than $60k. (dealer not private)

I've owned an M5 and it's a very nice car but they do start to look a little outdated for my taste. I don't like the new M5 so if I were to get an M series it would be an M6. Currently I have an Audi A8 and it's my favorite car in the world. It's comfortable, it's spacious, it looks great and it's loaded with gadgets that will keep any geek happy. However this is not a performance car nor is it intended to be one. The top speed of this car is 155MPH and it will reach that speed in no hurry. This car is for cruising in comfort. If you want something that looks great, has some bling value to is and is faster then a Viper or 911 look for the Benz CL65 AMG. Of course with a price tag of $179,000 it better be fast (http://www.mbusa.com/brand/models/CL65.jsp). Realistically if I were to get rid of my A8 my next car would probably be a Benz CL500.

Benz is a people's car, and BMW is meant for them... drivers.

"Driven by Intuition" they say about BMW. You try the BMW7 and Drive it by Intuition. Its got 300 pages manual to tweak your Intuition I guess. Because without the manual you won't be able to start a damn engine.

Benz is so much more comfortable and intuitive. Beemers suck! :)

As for Audi, these guys are ahead of Benzes and Beemers.
While S500 makes 0-60 in 6.5s, BMW7 makes it in 6.3s, a damn S8 makes it in 5.4s.

Benz feels like a business suit, if you don't like it, don't wear it.
Go for sports suit instead, get yourself a BMW.

I just got the new Audi A8. I love it. You don't see any one the road and they drive so nice.

BMW's are nice, but they are everywhere around my town. It's nice to have something unique that you don't see to often.

Beemer and non of the two can come close in any fuckin way possible. Example: a 333hp 250lb/ft. of torque BMW owns a 400hp 300lb/ft. of torque AUDI, all day long. Dont believe the hype, square off any Beemer with any MB or AUDI in the same class and both will get owned in all catagories. Its only natural.

It's such a hard decision to make, it would be easier if you asked to choose from certain models? I would take a BMW X5 over a Mercedes ML500, but I would take a Mercedes ML500 over a BMW M5, but on the other hand I would take a BMW M5 over a Audi A8....

the one real car is the MB, and more specifically the "S" series.

both the ML and X5 are dreadful cars to say the least and only give bad name to the brands, ugly POS :S

ML is a big piece of shit I can agree with you on that one.. The X5 is great, I have one and it's got tons of power, curb appeal and some great features. I am one that is very satisfied with it :)
