Za Ha, so the pic is too hyped up you mean? that happens a bit... sometimes u see the rides in a real environment and they don't compare to the blank background, perfectly lit pics u see.

i have a video of 2 2003 vipers and they didn't look special on the vids... but they were low quality so i couldn't tell.

I've seen pics of the new viper at the auto-shows, and it didn't look that great. It was disappointing. BUT it doesn't mean anything, since these pics (the pics in this thread) are showing off the car from ever angle, just like you see pics of all these fancy cars, and they make it look very cool. So, I don't think because they screwed up the display at the autoshow means much...

I personally like the old one better, since I like the groove in the side. Man, that rocks.

The new viper has 50 more HP for a total of 500. It's being called the 500/500/500 for 500 HP, 500 BHP and 500 cubic inches. Damn.

The new one looks more flashy, but I like the hood of the old viper better. It would be hard to pick only one... :( There's only one solution, I guess!

2. 350z is suppose to be out NOW to a select few, but available to the public in august 2002. i was on the waiting list but took myself off it. a fully loaded 350z is going to be 34k US$.

4. wrx sti is due out in late 2003. thats a lot better bang for the buck imho

5. im accepting donations towards my ultima fund. btw whoever asked if the car i posted was an ultima, it did say "ULTIMA GTR" on the side of it, and the pic was hotlinked from ultima...doh!

yeah, with the m3 i'd be going manual. i've seen the grey, and it looks so great, pics don't do it justice. i already have a couple silver cars, and i agree that silver m3's are a little common (as far as m3's go)...

My BMW 540i is going in May, and I think I am getting a Viper. Probably not the 2003, because I am not ready to pimp that yet, but definately 1998-2002

please if your buying a viper, please get the GTS. the roadsters are kinda ugly and them windows are just pain in the ass. velcro and plastic windows are just nasty.

MrBrian, you think your the only one that knows about cars? ya you might have seen a coupla prototype race cars or claim of driven some. knowing how to soup up turbos and put down anything thats not bang for the buck seems to be your thing. who cares?? Ultima GTRS have been around forever. selling zr1 engines in a light car that don't impress me, ya the new Ultima is better looking than the old one, but where you gonna go with that?? track all day?

your lucky, I have to do most of the racing on the road and the closest track is mosport, which is about an hour and a half away. But tracking cars gets too expensive, maybe get a trailer and a nice go-kart will eas the pain.

MrBrian, do you think cars are way cheaper up here in Canada? Maybe you can hookup some buyers, and I'll ship them down and lets make some $$$$

I have a black BMW and I assure you that it's a pain in the ass, it's always dirty and if you don't go to the car wash every 2-3 days it looks like shit! These car should always look good and new, my point: you should go with silver, it's less time consumming!

I agree, I saw the new Viper as well, they made it so generic that it looks like any other piece of shit on the road ! a good friend of mine just cancelled his order for it just because of that ! The same goes for the new Ferarri the body looks like everything else, they try to please too many people all at once ! ps If you were at the auto you could of said hello:)

I don't like Vipers, but when I see it on the road it still gets my 100% attention, as for the new ferrari I think they're beautiful moving, it looks like a spaceship. Try to chase one down on the highway with my SUV, overshot a couple of stops but it was worth it. I will probably buy a 360 when they're not so jacked up in price here. The first time I asked before it came out was 195000CND few months later it was $245000!!! for a used one. Now that's fucked up, I know the demand is high, but knowing it should cost under 200k, I would never pay what they ask for now.

I personally like the RT/10 better than the GTS. There's no comparison - it's just way better looking, and doesn't have the 'ugly' features of the GTS. They are simply removed, the rest remains the same, and you have an awesome looking car.

BUT, I've heard GTS owners say the same exact thing against the RT/10 - so I guess it's really all up to your own personal taste.

I must admit that the hard or soft top on the rt/10 looks horrible. I would consider buying a GTS only for that one reason - because it would suck to try and hit 180 mph with a soft top or no top - I guess it makes so much noise that it scares the shit out of you.

For the new viper - I think the looks are good, but I felt the same way most of you feel now - that it's looks are 'generic' in that they copied off of other cars. I thought the side effects were a direct copy off of the ZR1 until I compared the two. I wish they hadn't restyled the whole thing. But, looks grow on you... I think I'd still buy the '02 version first.
