Lens - Nice Ride.

I have been restoring my 1958 Corvette for almost 3 years now. Never done.

If you ever need to know where and who to talk to about modifications, parts, anything.. e-mail me. In the last few years, I have met practically everyone who does anything for Series 1 vettes!

A few pics.

Maybe I?ll see you at HAN 2002?

Smegma 03-11-2002 03:48 PM

Hey HUN!

That's a great car.

I think the aniversary edition of that Lambo is by far the nicest of all in the last 20 years.. including the diablo.

When it came out, I had a poster of a red 25th on my wall for years. Can I asked what you paid for it?

With the hardtop.. on my way to HAN last year.

The Hun 03-11-2002 04:03 PM

Due, a car is completely checked in the Netherlands before you pick it up. We call that service. Checking a car thoroughly is, at least in the Netherlands, usually done in a workshop. That's why you'll see that every dealership in the Netherlands has their own workshop. I'm surprised you never heard of it!

Anyone who knows a few things about exotic or classic cars is that they are in the shop more than they are on the road.

If he just purchased the car, he is probably having a few things updated, fixed, changed. I would.

That 25th Anniversary Lambo will be equivelent to a 1985 Ferrari 288 GTO in 10 years.

It's a fucking great investment and a Bad Ass color too. What did they call that.. Swaters Blue?

SNOW 03-11-2002 04:06 PM

SMEGMA---Absolutely Fucking Beautiful... I don't even see swirls in the paint.. Looks color sanded and it shows... Very nice car..

I'm surprised you never heard about sarcasm

Color Sanding is my middle name...

Actually.. lately.. I have been clay-balling... does a fine damn job and doesn't wear the paint as bad as CS.

The Hun 03-11-2002 04:09 PM

Don't know what the color is called. I liked it a lot though ;-)... I saw the lamborghini when I took the Ferrari in for some error in the shock absorber system. Loved it the minute I saw it. I probably won't drive it as often as the Ferrari. It's a 13 year old car, and you have to treat 'em very differently from a modern car like the Modena. I figured I couldn't loose on a car like that. Like you said, the value will increase if you keep it in good shape

The Hun 03-11-2002 04:12 PM

Due... I guess my post came pretty close to sarcasm. Surprised you didn't get that ;-)

julia 03-11-2002 04:12 PM

is it your ferrari?? It's awesome!

The Hun 03-11-2002 04:14 PM

The one on this page isn't mine, the one on the previous page, with the back wheels disassembled is...

julia 03-11-2002 04:17 PM

I absolutely love both of them...
This is my dream car! You are lucky! (Iknow I know it's all hardwork! ) LOL

The 1989 25th Aniv. Countach is a temperamental car.. V12s are like that...

It likes to be driving fast.. but you'll pay for it at the shop...

I'm not one for locking a car away in a bank vault, but some cars should be because you know they will be worth a fortune in 10, 20, or 30 years. That lambo is one of them.

The 360 is a nice ride.. especially the spyder. Al Fresca is the way to go! I am waiting for the to see what happens with the Ferrari 550 Maranello Barchetta (price). I was close to trading my 355 for a 550 coupe, but saw the Maranello Barchetta at the Paris car show in October of 2000 and thought I should wait.. it's hovering around $450K USD and the final production numbers have not been announced so it's hard to say how it will do in 20 years.
