It's a 2000 esprit in the background juge, the v8, so it's pretty quick.

Beautiful weather in Arizona today, the Speedsters in the parking lot here instead of the garage ;)

One of the best ways to judge a cars potential value is by the number of years it has been in production, the production run, and WHAT years those cars were made.

During economically difficult time, recession etc, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Lotus.. even BMW, and Mercedes made fewer cars. They also lowered the production run of several cars to try and stimulate sales with new models.

We all remember this car, the Ferrari 308 and 328. This was Ferraris way of trying to save the company. They made a zillion of these, and as a result, you can pick one up for $30K to $50K in the U.S.

Well, I hate to burst your bubble.. the Diablo and F355 production runs were more than the 328 and 308 combined. The Ferrari 355 and Diablo will lose value because both companies made so many of the model (body style) during a hugely successful financial boom.

IMO. The best cars will be the ones made during economic recession. Slower production lines, more attention to detail, lower production runs, model changes every 3 years rather than 10.

it's true, I'm thinking of selling my car because after all this years I own my car and put some serious kms for a ferrari, I can still sell it for more or around what I paid for thanks to the new F360s price so high. What do you guys think of the new M3??? I've had the previous 2 generations and my 94 one was equipt with the euro 286HP engine. That was a blast, but I don't know if I'll regret selling my current car???

AdultWire 03-15-2002 04:56 PM

Ahhh.. now when you start talking HP, I can swing this. I'm plopping a new engine in my Cressida to bring it to about 265HP.. that should be a fun ride.. but it doesn't have the ultimate-sport handling of these other puppies.

The new M3 is great!
333 HP is nice :)

But it cant be compared to a Ferrari visually...

Try out a Z8 instead...

I like the Z8 but it's alittle too old or yuppie for me and I don't think I'll pay 200K + CND for that car. My neighbor has one and I hate the way he perpatrates that thing. I like car that are more... boy racer like...I'm not too old you know..:)

This is mine and more here 140 Mph 2400 Hp $1,000,000.00 USD (ear plugs and gas money not included)
The nicest thing about it, is that you can go that fast without getting a ticket for speeding.
Add to that, the fact that the speed sensation is twice what you get in a car, and anything over 60 mph, at least some of the time is spent airborne :thumbsup and my wife hates going in the ocean.... well you can begin to see the benifits, perhaps.

It doesn't matter what kind of car you have, unless you are racing it on a track... you're gonna get stuck in traffic just like everyone else:winkwink: plus, there's enough room for sex in the front, with all the babes, you're gonna get:Graucho

cool - what color? do you have any pics? i love the S for tearing up mountain roads, but i'm looking for a smoother/GT car for cruising. the clk seems like a perfect choice. any complaints after owning one?

MrBrian 03-16-2002 02:36 AM

quiet,
get an m3...clk is an auto and weighs two tons

lens.
how much did you pay for that '62(im guessing) vette? 60? 70?
its a piece of art

kimmikims speedster is nice. i used to want one and drop in a 13b rotary engine to replace the vw engine. i hope its metal, not a replica :) looks like a nice 97' espirit to keep it company too. v8 twin turbo :D

the 355s are beauties but nitemares to maintain. dont you just love replacing the timing belt(4k job) every 10k miles and only a 3 year warranty? ferrari also makes you use special mobile one oil thats usually price gauged at 40 bucks a quart to keep your warranty. the 355s are also famous for eating their headers from the use of CHEAP mild steel over t-304 stainless.

diablos are built to last and the prices are dropped big time. you can get a 92 diablo with 10k miles for 100k. s2000 are nice cruising cars. no balls(torque), but fun and they handle like a dream. im just a little too tall for one(6'2 in shoes). if i could pick any car under 150k, it'd be hands down a '02 911 turbo its fast, pretty, reliable, awd, and holds its value like no other supercar. .

as for me, im an idiot...i put all my money into my house. the thing that sucks about living downtown in the city, is that its near impossible to find a two car garage. im stuck with a one car garage. i have the imfamous 500hp rx7 in the garage and the wrx outside to be stolen. the wrx is pretty much stock. it dynoed at 220awhp. i have plans to have it pushing 350hp(at the flywheel) by mid summer though. 0-60 in 4.2 for an ugly 4 door wont be too bad :)

i'm not looking for another sports car (i already own a S2000). i'm looking for more of a luxo cruiser, so manual isn't a requirement. also, i'm not a fan of bmw - no offense, they just don't appeal to me.

bmw = black mans wheels

so bmw is for fags trying to look cool.........................the same fags that wear gel in their hair

2002 silver with black, AMG package. The engine is so smooth you don't even feel gear changes. As I get older the more I like benz. I'll post some pics when I get some new batteries for the digicam. Saw a couple of new SL 500 with AMG package, it's so god damn beautiful....

the only complaint I have is, the convertible is not full auto and for a car like that it should be...but I don't know if your looking into another convertible, everything else is cooo even the speed, accleration power is seamless.

Ferraris are not easy to maintain when it starts to get older, but most people understands that before purchasing, it's not that it need alot of maintainance, it's just that you don't get to drive it alot and when months role by and the oil starts to get old, you feel like you need to change it or the car's gonna break and the parts for ferraris are super expensive. Speaking of timing belt, my needs to be replaced this summer:(

MrBrian if you don't mind having your WRX become a bigger target for theft, you must get some parts from PRODRIVE, their headlamp and rims are beautiful.....
