Does anyone know a firm that allows min $500 account start up.

I just want to play around and see how it goes. Make a few G's of penny stocks.

the best by farrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr is scottrade, local offices, 7 dollar market orders, 500 min setup and the list goes on and on, oh no inactivity fees and so forth.

www.scottrade.com been usin em for years. Trust me go to etrade and all the others and look at their fees, not to mention if your in a decent sized city they will have a local office you can go to and deposit money, or call them for questions. i use ameritrade, but I don't day trade. I think ameritrade wants like 25k in your account if you play to daytrade. I could be wrong though

Do you have any experience trading stocks? If not, you're a fool to try day trading. Day trading takes a lot of still (as well as luck). $500 is not nearly enough to start with if you want to day trade.
