Does anyone know a firm that allows min $500 account start up.

I just want to play around and see how it goes. Make a few G's of penny stocks.

eTrade used to be $500.

the best by farrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr is scottrade, local offices, 7 dollar market orders, 500 min setup and the list goes on and on, oh no inactivity fees and so forth.

veterans how do you know? is there a website? and do you use them..

Trust me go to etrade and all the others and look at their fees, not to mention if your in a decent sized city they will have a local office you can go to and deposit money, or call them for questions. Scottrade owns, split second order processing, great java based tools for analysis and tracking. Go to the site and view the demo. :thumbsup

i use ameritrade, but I don't day trade. I think ameritrade wants like 25k in your account if you play to daytrade. I could be wrong though

Losing that $500 right off the bat might be one of the best things that ever happens to you.

Do you have any experience trading stocks? If not, you're a fool to try day trading. Day trading takes a lot of still (as well as luck). $500 is not nearly enough to start with if you want to day trade.

I hope you are planning to work with options, as I have no idea how you could profitably day-trade stocks with only $500....
