How many of you take depression medications or know someone that does?
I'm willing to bet - that you wouldn't need to take those damn god awful depression meds advertised on TV 24/7 if ya simply exercised daily and ate right.
On the surface it's logical to assume, "eh, what will getting all sweaty and eating different food change?" - in depth however, it changes a lot. We ARE what we eat, that's a fact. A significant change in diet can bring about a significant change in emotion and overall mental well-being. And it's a fact that exercise calms you down and releases hormones that actually make you feel better (emotionally & physically). Taking drugs to alter your state of mind isn't natural, it's not healthy. The best possible thing you can do in efforts to eliminate stress and depression - is to first change to a lifestyle that our genetic foundation prefers. Which research has shown that an ideal lifestyle involves exercising (our bodies are meant to be used, our ancestors who provided us with our genetic configuration were active people) - and a diet that doesn't contain junk food like fastfood and the many other processed foods out there. Doing this first will "cure" the large majority of people's depression. If depression continues - THEN you can seek help in other areas. /end rant |

My mother was on Prozac and some other shit for depression and anxiety. My Dad had a heart attack and she was more or less cured over night. I think by my Dad having the heart attack and almost dying, she realized that all of her anxiety and depression prior to the even was stupid and uncalled for.
There is definite truth in this post for sure ![]() |

For some people yes. For others, ummm... no.
Some people do have chemical imbalances and cannot get by without medication. I know a girl who is vegetarian, eats really well, does yoga every single day... has an amazingly healthy strong body. Without her meds she'd spend 3-4 hours a day bawling for no reason. You go tell her to her face she needs to be healthier.

Prozak is very very good. It makes you very calm and never ever upset. The only drawback is you will lose your interest in sex... which sux.. but other than that.. it is an amazing drug.
It does not " fuck you up" or give you a buzz or anything like that.. It takes about 2 weeks to kick in.. but after that.. you will be one of the happiest people alive lol ![]()

I used to when i was diagnosed with panic disorder. Then i started therapy, group discussions, started to get out of the house more, eat right, drink more water than sodas and i started to feel better
The med i was taking was Zoloft which made feel more numb to feelings at all than cure the situation, not a good feeling when you are just completely numb for months on end. ![]() now a days though i still have a bit of anxiety (when i work too much or focus on way too many things) but all is good ![]()
